Is it just me, or does this issue seem to be getting worse?.. I can't record anything scrambled anymore.. When I try I end up with recordings with no video or sound... I'm happy to provide logs etc also.. But I think a few have already been posted.

Hi Zewe,

sounds like your cam is not ready. After the "audio/video" or "channel is scrambled" message, try to pull out the cam and in again.

I wrote some weeks ago, i have problems with scrambled channels too. I think it would helpfull to chance the timeout for scrambled channels. Sometimes it needs 8 seconds and more to desramble a channel (with TT Software). At this time MP says "channel is scrambled" before.

Regards,

Actually, mine has been working for a looong time now without prob. What I did?

1/ Updated to latest svn (I know that didn't do the trick)
2/ added ONE channel to recieve epg info from the stream or whatever u call it. I always had my own tvguide.xml file so I never had any channels checked in the epg tab.

Now, magically it works. I think the tv card does not go into "sleep" and the cam works all the time cause of the epg update the TVE3 does. This will "wake" it up from time to time. Even the logs looks different when recording a scrambled channel. It hasn't failed once for a few weeks.

I am not touching anything now, cause all is working and I am happy.

I also have this problem. It works maybe for two days and suddenly scrambled channes do not work. If I pull out and in the CAM then they work again...

I can not understand if it's a cam/fire-dtv problem or something with tvengine. I'm considering buying another CAM but I want to be sure it's not a tvengine problem.

Curious: are u using the epg function in TVE3 or are u importing a xml file?

EPG via DVB-S, no xml file. I also have some courious problem with EPG.

To be honest I don't think that grabbing EPG wakes the CAM. EPG is not encrypted and from the log it seems that EPG grabbing does not involve verifying the CAM is present or not.

I know but the damn thing works for me now and that's the only thing I changed. When I updated to latest svn, I tried without EPG and no go, added one channel with EPG and voila.

The latest version of TV Server will now retry when the Twinhan driver fails to send the PMT to the CAM(the error "CAM failed 0x8007001F" was previously ignored).

Interesting reading in this post, gives some ideas, could you explain more and post logs?
    - lars282 - it works all the time when you "added one channel with EPG"
    - zewe - "Changed driver to an older one now its working fine.", what version was it?

Surprised to see that it also occurs with DVB-T cards from Twinhan.
