Scrambled channels not working (1 Viewer)

Hi All

I just bought a TerraTec H7 tv Card, thinking now i can finally record scrambled channels. Unfortunately the scrambled channels are not working. The FTA channels work fine.

I really cannot see anything in the logs, apart from that no audio gets detected within 15 secs.

If i use DVB Viewer all channels Work, and it also finds almost 30 channels more.

I am using Boxer as my TV provider. anybody has any idea?

I have tried both 1.7.1 and 1.8 prerelease. I know my specs says i am using Windows 2012, but i have moved the TV Server to Windows 8.1 to have a supported configuration, but no change

Hi mfalk,
MP has some problems with H7 CAM. It might work a while if you disconnect cam, restart H7 and tvservice. Long idle periods could trigger problem back again.
Problem should be solved in TVE3.5, but I haven't tried it because I'm not sure how stable is it and TVE is my only way to record TV right now.

I don't know how I missed this thread earlier, sorry. I guess you've switched to different software or tuner.
For anybody reading this thread in future: it looks like Michael had a new version of the TerraTec H7 - revision 4 - with different hardware and different driver. The log files show that MediaPortal does not even recognise the CI slot with this revision. Same probably applies for the new TerraTec S7. I have contacted TerraTec to ask for an SDK so that we can add support for these tuners...

I'm facing the same Problem with TerraTec H7 rev. 4, it doesn't recognise the CI slot.

I was able to solve the Problem in DVB Viewer by changing the Vendor ID, but I would love to watch TV in Mediaportal.

Unfortunately, no - no news. I didn't receive any reply from TerraTec/Ultron.

I was able to solve the Problem in DVB Viewer by changing the Vendor ID, but I would love to watch TV in Mediaportal.

Ahhh, what vendor ID did you use to make it work? This information might enable me to produce a patch for MP.

I changed my Vendor ID from 15 to 32

Got the Information from the german DVBViewer forum (sorry, don't know if I can link to another forum)
Ändert doch mal bitte die die Vendor=15 in Vendor=5 um und wenn das nicht geht in Vendor=32
It means: try to change the Vendor ID from 15 to 5 or 32.

...vendor 32 is DVBSky. So, I guess the H7 r4 id actually a DVBSky T680C clone.
Unfortunately the CI slot for DVBSky tuners and clones won't work in TVE 3 (standard MP1 TV Server)... but such tuners should fully work in TVE 3.5 (MP2 NativeTV).
