Attached is a fix for the cover art bug. I'll have to see if there is anything that can be done about the lettering.

Something to note: you can change the search string to the ID of the movie for Kinopoisk and it will pull information for that item.

Now no coverart is working, sometimes it still downloads "too fast, too furious" or "Ulenka" ... otherwise it is still nothing.

Any ideas?

Can you post your logs? It is working on my end, but I may be able to troubleshoot your issue better with logs. Make sure to go to debug mode first.

Thank you for the hint - it's working. Couple of hints about covers and fan-art. For ex, for movie "Dark knight" covers are available under the link covers and fan-art are available fan-art or posters
and question - is it possible to load backdrops (fanart) from themoviedb.org? Connect them by original title or IMBD ID? Just an idea.

Site problem. If film dosn't have any posters - link like example still working and shows some common posters.

И вообще, вчера вечером ни одна картинка не работала, а так же не работал поиск по-русски, нельзя написать Любовь-Морковь 2 и получить результат - сразу не найдено, за секунду вылетает.

Just last digits. It's working without problems. As I told - posters and fan-art issue is the second step, definetely we should go for it, but later... I agree that site is kind of surprising, and in some cases it can give us unexpected result (in most cases - missed links). But no doubt that is most complite collection of movie resource in .Ru, so we need to adjust scraper for it.

Вводи только последние цифры - поиск отлично работает в этом случае. Я писал выше, что проблема с неправильной загрузкой обложек и fan-artа - это второй этап. Сначала нужно разобраться с поиском корректной ссылки на кинофильм. Насчет fan-art (backdrops), я думаю, что правильнее всего запрашивать информации по OriginalTitle или IMDB ID на сайте themoviedb.org. Там полно всего, только нет картинок для Российских фильмов - но это не самая главная проблема.

Согласен, что сайт периодически тормозит и возвращает неожиданные результаты (обычно отсутствующие ссылки). Но это без сомнения лучший кино ресурс в русском интернете, поэтому нужно настраивать скрепер на него.

Hey mitiok2008,

It looks like most of the time using the /adv_type/cover/ filter hinders the finding of an appropriate cover art. I think the big problem with The Dark Knight is that it was such a popular movie that it has too much art associated with it. For most movies that did were not so popular that filter gives you results that are not as good as they would be without it.

TheMovieDB uses IMDB_ID to get its information. I have not found a way to translate this site into an IMDB_ID.

I can fix the general poster page. I will work on that today and post a new version of the scraper again.

in short - no support for cyrilic and existing MediaPortal (My Videos) works very well with kinopoisk.ru, the script is somewhere on this forum.

номер фильма пробовал (он короче чем на imdb), но результата не дало. Совсем нет поиска по-русски, только латиницей. Хотя иной раз латиницей работает и выдает всю инфу о фильме, но не понятно все-таки откуда скрипт ее взял.

Так же обычные My Videos работают с этим сайтом, включая вытаскивание обложек вообще без проблем и всегда. Я бы даже сказал, что лучше чем родной imdb. Такое ошушение, что подглючивает плагин, где-то не всегда качает инфу, где-то слишком рано сдается, особенно когда результат "не найдено" - почти мгновенный...
