the updated version v0.8.0 can be downloaded from the repository or the first post of this thread.
This enhanced version allows you to control main settings of ScreenControl directly inside MediaPortal. Please consult the included manual and the skin example to adapt the skin for your needs.

nice plugin, but speech recognition doesn't work for me.. I have a microphone enabled, and that ons works.. I have configured the plugin right.. Do I have to install some other software maybe to get is work?

this plugin use the standard speech functionalities of Windows7, no 3rd party applications are needed.
Currently this plugin does only support english and german speech commands and grammar files, I'm not able to create this for your native language. If you want to use one of supported languages, please don't forget to train your computer first.

Hi there,

I have only just found this plugin and it looks really neat!

Two questions:

1) Does anyone have a skin file that works with streamedMP?

2) The voice commands are really neat (although I am still experimenting with training Windows), is there a plan to expand this capability? It would be great if you could call up moving pictures (or music), and then spell out the name of the film (artist) to refine the list on the screen. Then using "up", "down", "left", "right" and "enter" would be fairly easy to select the item of choice and play it!

Intresting plugin this is.
I have a question. What or how is this plugin integrated with the Automatic Refreshrate Changer? Is this plugin maybe a very usefull addin together with ARC for people with 2 monitors (beamers touchscreens etc). I heared there are some issues with ARC switches and 2 video outputs connected and in use..

Just wondering about possible benifits.

Hey Micro,

Love this plugin, does so much to enhance MP. Is it possible to add a feature to stop a paused playback after a certain amount of time (or start the screensaver). My wife has a very bad tendency to start watching something, pause to answer the phone then go do something else so the TV gets stuck on the one image.

the final and feature-complete version of this plugin was published, I'll close the main development cycle now.
Skin changes are not required, thanks to all contributors and skinners to achieve this milestone.

edterbak: this plugin does not manage or integrate the Automatic Refreshrate Changer.
phibster: your requested feature does not fit into the idea of this plugin. If there is some more time, I'm try to find a solution for this.

Thanks Micropolis this looks like another solid plugin for the community - one quick question; although this isn't a screensaver plugin (it would be good to have one of those!!!) can it trigger any screensavers installed on the PC, even if they are not Windows/Microsoft ones? I would like to loop a video as a screensaver after MP has been sat on a window for a while. This one looks ideal;

this version supports windows internal screensavers, means executable files with an extension of .scr. In my opinion, you can find tools in the internet, which can convert a video to this file type. If this isn't successful, a small enhancement is possible later.
