    Hello,

I have sometimes a problem with Mediaportal.. It happend sometimes with MP TV Series, Movingpictures or onlinevideo's.. Last time with MP TVseries (hope you can see that in the log as while)

When I start a movie or video file, the screen is black.. Audio is still fine, but Mediaportal doesn't react, so I have to restart it.

Strange thing is that is happend sometimes..

I hope you guys have some suggestions!

    Best regards,

    Marcel

Maybe you can try another video decoder?

I have tried different types without result.. (LAV video decoder, ffdshow, cyberlink, microsoft DTV decoder) It is a problem that only sometimes show up.. usually everything is fine.. I hope that you guys can find something in the logs files what explains the problem..

    Hi Marcel

In the logs what I see is that you played Planet Earth.S01E01.From Pole to Pole.mkv at about 1:30am, then about 2am you stopped watching (or maybe you fell asleep and the video ended :)). Anyhow, that worked fine. Then you tried to play the same video again at about 11:30am the next day, but this time it had the problem. Is that correct?

Also I don't see any problems in logs. As you wrote that your system is usually working, so it will be hard to identify problem. You can try other players like VLC (it has its own built-in codecs) or Windows Media Player (uses installed codecs). If it happens with other players than it will be system issue or (worse) hardware issue.

    Hi again Marcel

Please can you try to reproduce the problem using the built in video plugin rather than My TV-Series.

It's hard to try with other players, because the problem only happend sometimes.. So I can test a file 10 times with another player, and it goes 10 times fine.. I'm almost shure it has something to do with Mediaportal.. The system is very fast and stable. The only problem is that I have no idea what the problem can be...

It happend with all plugins (sometimes) Online vdeo's, MP TVSeries and movingpictures..

I willl post logs when It happend again..
