How do I get specials listed by season instead of the root TV series name?
For shows that have 1 or 2 seasons it's not a big deal, but if you get something that has many seasons it's horrible to have them all in the same specials folder. Is there any way to put it under the season it belongs to so instead?

Config -> General -> check the "Sort Specials in Episode List" setting

After enabling that, how do I name the files so that it gets put in the right seasons as S00E** wouldn't define a season?

That's exactly what should have worked 0x.. are for the specials. Perhaps the entry at TheTVdB is messed up, what TV series is this in regards to? When you show the 'All' overview on that site, you can also see how the specials are sorted within the regular seasons.

Just a small note, DVD ordering will not sort specials in with the regular episodes. Logic is only added to handle sorting when AIRED order is used.

EDIT: Im referring to the Sort Order and not the Import Matching Order, you can still import and match your shows using the DVD Order but you need to change the Sort Order to AIRED if you want to do inline sorting of specials. Hope that makes sense.

So does it only do it if it's aired the specials and not if I rip the extras from a DVD?

If not in a future release it would be good if it could put it into Season extras based on the name

Perhaps something like S01X01 for Season 1 Extra 1?
