Cant rememebr exactly all the ins and outs of it but the help tutorials by girder were very useful in getting my head around how it was to be configured. I left one technisat card with the original drivers and use the bda on the other, it makes it very easy to see what card is doing what and i had a few standby issues with using BDA alone.
