Hey Kev, have you thought of using the Active X component of VLC to embed it into the webpage instead of opening VLC externally.

Yesterday I managed to stream a channel, over the internet. Amazing! I didn't see it mysefl, since I guided my sister through opening the stream, but she said the video was choppy. This is with the standard settings. When I tried changing the settings, all she got was a black screen.
This could be a problem with my upload. I think we have 1mbit upload, but it might be only 512, I'm not entirely sure. Is there a way to see how much strain the streaming is putting on my upload, so I can figure out if this is the problem?

Anyway, it worked, and I got it through the firewall and the router, which was my biggest fear about potential problems...

Hi all. I have tried to install this on the machine I am running my tv server on and another server I have on my network. Both machines are server 2k3 boxes. The flavor of sql I am using is sql 2005. The sql 2005 server is running on the same machine as my tv server. I created my new database user account in the sql database and it tested fine when I logged on using it. After installing the web server on the same machine as my sql server and tv server, I configured the database page as instructed. I then tested the connection and received an error logging on. The error mentions named pipe provider:could not open a connection to sql server. The other machine immediately generates an error that says the data source name nofound and no default driver specified. I am just new enough to sql to be unsure as to how to proceed. Any insight would be appreciated.

Hi Im getting the same error.
Error Connecting to TV Server Database
Failed with the following message:
[Anydac][Phys][ODBC][Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data Source Name Not Found and no default driver specified.

This is on a Win2K Small Business Server which is running SQL2000. THe TV Server is on another machine running SQL2005 Express.
Everything installs OK on the TV Server itself, but for me to access the machine from the internet, be handy to be able to installon the SBS machine.

500 is a script error,

The dataset has been closed therefor you are getting this error.

Which in some cases can also mean that the SQL Query had an error in it eg invalid table, column etc

Hi Big_Kev,
is there any way that you could keep the channel name( column header) on the page when scrolling down. A bit like freeze panes in the MS Excel. Just find it hard some time to work what is on what channel after scolling down.

Forgive me if this has already been implemented and a pointer to the setting would be great if so.
