Had a play when I got home and I can't stream to any other machines on the same subnet as the server. Streaming on the server by browsing to 127.0.0.1 works just fine, but not to anything else. Tried disabling all firewalls etc and it seems to make no difference and I can't see anything obvious in the logs to say why it's not working.

New Version 0.6.0.9 beta

This version has some changes to the sort / search algorithm for the Vertical View that I am hoping will give significant speed improvements for people with a lot of channels.

Please give it a go and send some feedback.

Remember that the changes have only been made for the vertical view in this version.

Do you mean the streaming window, or streaming in general - using VLC on the clients.

If streaming window does not work, but VLC does, then you most likely have to copy the dlls from the VLC directory to the Windows directory (list of dlls is in streaming how to document). NOTE this is on the CLIENT PC that you are trying to stream to.

If you are running vista, some reading I have done indicates that the VLC directory also has to be in the PATH environment variable of the client.

I get the streaming window appear with all the controls etc. but it just sits there saying video is loading forever. I have copied the DLLs to the windows directory and still get the same thing. The machine I tried at home was Vista, but the machine at work is XP and I get the same thing even having copied the DLLs to the windows directory. It quite often just seems to crash the web service as well when I try it from a machine that isn't the tv server/web server.

Loading the EPG is A LOT faster now. Thanks a lot, great improvement!

What I'm not getting is why recordings always start late (I'm not sure how much to late, but it seems to be about an hour), while the WebEPG shows the correct times. The programs that are currently on are highlighted accurately.

In Australia, daylight saving or "summer time" starts in October - clocks are changed by one hour.

Could it be something to do with this? Has your country changed time recently?

I am just guessing as you can see...

Have a look directly in the database in the schedule file and see if the start / stop times are correct there.

Sorry if this is a known issue - but it's a long thread. Just updated to the latest version (same thing was happening previously with an older one I installed a couple of months back) but the EPG always defaults to a funny date so the Guide is empty! The correct date is at the top of the screen (12 November) but the dropdown ranges from 11-24 October. Any idea?!

(oh, and using IE, the date at the top shows 24th October too?)
