i have been testing the first version you released and had some issues with them

today i tested your latest build and everything worked like a charm. i especialy love your nOOb proof manual! :)

great work. keep it up. :)

    *edit*
i have found one minor issue. :)

in the programm-guide i dont get the programm-description-box most of the time.
    either nothing appears
    or this EPG.jpg

if i switch the TV group, then 2 out of 10 trys i will get the description-box when moving the mouse above one entry in the guide.

Hey thanks very much for this plugin.

I dont know why this isnt listed under hot plugins but it should be.

Just have a couple of questions, When i went to view scheduled recordings, it displayed a record schedule which was already in progress. I hit cancel record and it said sucessful but it didnt stop recording..

I am guessing this is how this feature is meant to be that you can only cancel recordings which havent started yet as you just update the database but I guess to stop recordings in progress it has to be done through the client or tv server console manually?

Also when select remote it comes up not configured. I didnt see anywhere in the docos about configuring the remote so is this feature for a future release?

Lastly just one part with the doco when creating your database user it just has instructions to enter username of Web and put no password policy on. But in your guide you actually entered a password of tv3 which you also entered in the config.

At first I didnt give a password but when trying to connect first time got database unavailable message. Even though I did a test connect with no password and it was successful.

As soon as I entered the password in user profile in MSSQL and entered this password in the config the web interface worked perfectly. So perhaps just include the step in your doco that you still have to enter a password for the MSSQL user

great work again! I'm loving this plugin

Are there any news on Apache compatibility ?

    -level20peon

see post 333. If you need more info, pm me

    (After pm'ing with charli181)

thanks for your reply. I was thinking about the possibility to host on apache itself rather than to just reroute any "traffic" through an apache server to the actual webserver of Big_Kevs web-interface. This way there still are two webservers up and running, actually I don't see any advantage of using apache as proxy at all. So what about hosting on Apache itself (<- this is what I meant initially :))

    Hiya...

I started on a php application on Apache before Chrstmas but haven't had time to do anything over the holidays...

At the moment I can present the tvguide and make a recording, but having trouble with the cancelling of a recording and what to do in the database...

ATM you have to use apache, PHP 5 and MYSQL5 (or at least only tested on this configuration). I will try to make an alpha release soon so people can start trying it out even if not all functionallity is there...

    Note from Big Kev

    Hi All,

Sorry for my lack of responses.

I am on summer holidays in beautiful Currarong - New South Wales, Australia, and will be away until about 22nd of January.

Unfortunately(?), where I am camping has no power, phone, internet etc!

I will be atending to your suggestions, problems etc. as soon as I get back.

    Kev

    Hi Kev,

I virtually grew up in Currarong as a kid at my parents holiday house so I hope you have a great time on all the different lovely beaches. So have fun in your isolation.

Thanks for a great program :)

    Hi,

Dont know if this has been brought up yet but when you go to view scheduled recordings it seems to display the results in the order it retrives it from the database rather than by displaying it by date / time order

eg I had a recording scheduled for 7:30 tonight. I then went ahead and saw a program I liked which was showing in the next half an hour at 9am. So I scheduled it

Now when I view scheduled recordings the 7:30 one tonight is displayed first and the 9 one after that. Its no biggie but the other day I had a bunch of recordings over 2 days and because i didnt add them to the schedule in the order of earliest date first it made it quite difficult to read to work out what was recording when in the next 24 hours so if you could please order scheduled recordings by date and perhaps even be able to group them by time or something as well would be great.

Also I noticed when I tried to record one program at 8:30 - 9:30 and another one from 9:30 - 10:30 on a different channel I didnt get any conflict info.

Because I set my recordings to 5 mins before and after, I usually get a conflict error when I try to do this kind of scheduling in the client itself and then i can go to the conflicts menu under schedules and fix it.

i didnt seem to even get anything showing under conflicts when i tried to schedule a conflict using MP interface. Perhaps for a conflict to display, it needs to be added to a conflict table? I am not sure didnt look into much yet. But I guess if thats the case it would require some difficult logic to pick up conflicts from the mp interface?

Also any chance in the future you could extend functionality to be able to view / edit tv server config settings? So maybe you would be able to make some remote changes to tv server config if required or be able to view the details as you may be having a problem with certain channels etc and you can remotely fix it.

    Thanks
