I've been going back and forth as to whether or not to disable Hyperthreading on my P4 processoer that's running both the server and the client. I was going to keep HT enabled since I was running 2 processes, TV Engine and MP. But if TV Engine doesn't each up that much in the line of cycles running in the background, I may just turn HT off and see if I can't get a little more response out of it. (not that the machine has any problems with keeping up as it is now)
I get much smoother video when running MP in High priority, checking with the Shift-"!" bar it does not lag as it does on normal.
Though my system is just about able to run TV Server in single seat mode. On modern hardware this might not be necessary.
And a request.
This could be done without the external program if Mediaportal was able to be started with:
However MP wont recognize the START parameter /HIGH and starts in normal prio using the START command. Think MP sets the priority when it initializes so that overrides the parameter.
(The process util gives a false positive om some Virus scanners as it can be used to kill processes and stuff also. Tested it with Virustotal)
Edit: Searched to find this post as i read it before, but forgot this post was about TV Server and not MP that i imply. Tested the utility and it can set the priority of the TVService.exe file also though =)
Hi.
I was probably being a bit fast and loose with my terminology. I meant "somewhere within the files that MP2 uses in its database".
Anyway, I found a way to do this which was far from automated but relatively low effort. I found what looked like all the images (CD covers, DVD covers, backgrounds etc all lumped together in...

I am in the process of setting up a legacy media player (Mede8er) which I happened to have laying around into my home cinema setup...
Fixed, I think.
Certainly the vintage MP2 installer that I was using no longer installs the LAV filters. I can only assume that these were never part of the install package itself, but rather downloaded during the install, and that link no longer exists. Shame that the installer doesn't indicate this.
Last time when I installed the...

If you’re planning to submit a pull request, let’s go through the list of issues and their solutions.
I or someone from the team will create a Jira ticket, and for each ticket, you’ll make the changes and submit a pull request.
This will be transparent and straightforward.

I don't know about MP2 but as you said you tried MP1 too, how is the MP music config ?
MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback.
If you you don't have multichannel music you can choose WASAPI as the output and set the number of speakers to stereo.
I have...
