Hi out there - just been testing the new build from 10-1-2007 of the tvengine3 - see if it solved my problems with the hvr 3000 card - but a bit frustrated..
First - when I install the tvengine and configure it, I define the DVB-T first (it defaults to be in top of the cards) and afterwards I select Denmark as country and start scanning for channels - it also find these in my region.
When I then afterwards continue with the DVB-S part I have to stop and start the tuner services manually under "manual control" to force it scanning for channels - if not it just detects nothing.
I have disabled the analog part of the hybrid card - not necessary - I can receive the same channels on the DVB-T in my region.
Now I expected that my problems with the Hauppauge card was soled with introduction of the "Hybrid card groups" in the new build - but no way - if I define a "dvb" group and join my cards to this group I still have to stop and start the tuner service under manual control first.
If I also restart the whole service all 3 cards will show up as analog cards in the tvengine config afterwards ??? - can anyone explain to me what is happening here? These are probably entries in the SQL DB ? but which table?`

any suggestions are weilcome

best regards /ti

Hi frodo
This is also the way I did it (or at least i think so) - if you have time to look through some screenshots of the setup I'll send you a word dok which shows the setup - and what happens when I reload it - this might explain it much better than I can explain it here

regards /ti

Sure pls post them and the tv.log also.
btw You should not have to stop the service now if all is setup well

    Hi frodo

As I wrote previously have I tried the newest driver from Hauppauge and the current biuild of tvengine and MP from today - the problems have changed a bit but I still havent succeded in getting a working solution. I have made a zipped file with all the logfiles from the tvengine and also a word document showing the kind of hardware, installing the stuff and configuring - and how the problems shows up. I would expect that my problems here are more or less symptomatic for the hvr 3000 cards..
I look forward the read your comments

For some reason I could not upload the zip file to your server so I saved it here - please take a look: http://www.iwang.dk/Mediaportal.zip

    Hi Frodo
please help me make a HVR-3000 work on MP. My problem has to do with the DVB-S and DVB-T part of the card. I always can see one part (DVB-T or DVB-S) into the configuration and of course the analogue part. Is there something to add into the carddefinitions.xml in order to help me ?
    Thanks
