    I need some help with webepg - I followed the webepg guide in the manual and the XmlTv guide in the wiki. I have imported the tvguide.xml in the XmlTv plugin and all looks ok. However I must be missing something however as when I check the tv guide in MP there is no data in it. :confused:

    I assume that the settings in TV Epg Grabber tab of TV Server Config have no effect once the xmltv plugin is active - is that correct?

    By the way the MP manual refers to

    2. Make sure MediaPortal Configuration, Television, Program Guide, path to tvguide.xml is set to the correct folder.

    which doesn't seem to exist in the latest MP RC1 |SVN release.

    Thanks for the link - it looks like I have the same problem as mortstar in the thread you pointed me to.

    I have generated tvguide.xml and this and xmltv.dtv are present in C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\xmltv (I am on Vista). I am pointing to this path in xmltv plug in TV-Server config. I have successfuly mapped and imported tvguide.xml.

    But when I immediately check the TV Guide in MP I can see the schedule for approx 30 seconds but then it disappears and there is "No Data Available" listed against each tv channel! :confused:

    I have attached my logs.

    P.S. In TV-Server Config, General Settings, EPG I have unticked all the boxes - is that correct?

    Looking through the logs it looks like xmltv import works ok..

    2008-05-24 15:33:29.210000 [SetupTv]: plugin:xmltv importing C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\xmltv\tvguide.xml
    2008-05-24 15:33:29.279000 [SetupTv]: xmltv import C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\xmltv\tvguide.xml
    .....
    2008-05-24 15:33:30.928000 [SetupTv]: Xmltv: imported 65 channels, 4036 programs status:tvguide.xml:File imported successfully;
    2008-05-24 15:33:30.938000 [SetupTv]: plugin:xmltv import done

    1 minute later it imports tvguide.xml again as I vaguely recall reading somewhere it should...

    2008-05-24 15:34:35.107000 [XmlTvImporter]: plugin:xmltv importing C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\xmltv\tvguide.xml
    2008-05-24 15:34:35.111000 [XmlTvImporter]: xmltv import C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\xmltv\tvguide.xml

    However this time it states Invalid XML file...

    008-05-24 15:34:35.361000 [XmlTvImporter]: Xmltv: imported 65 channels, 0 programs status:tvguide.xml:Invalid XML file:An item with the same key has already been added.;
    2008-05-24 15:34:35.363000 [XmlTvImporter]: plugin:xmltv import done

    When shutting down MP the inbuilt EPG grabber is disabled...

    2008-05-24 15:35:05.696000 [49]: EPG: grabber disabled

    Does that mean the inbuilt EPG grabber was running in parallel with xmltv plugin?
    Is that the problem? If so how do I disable it?

    I found the solution to this! :D I had to untick all the channels in TV Epg Grabber tab of TV Server Config.
    Now my epg is pretty much complete apart from a few channels for which the grabber failed or which are missing in the grabber list (e.g. History HD, Silver HD).
