Thank you...

Yes, slap me silly.. I went back and got the files from the Message... and it is finding Theaters now.

Thank you BOTH very much, and everyone else too for your patience.

Nephilim, i've tested the new version from 18.04.2009. moviedata.xml is here: pastebin - collaborative debugging tool this is a diff between original file and new version i've replaced double spaces with *DOUBLE SPACE* string..

    * as you can see there are double spaces when concatenating runtimes.. "<Runtime>115 min__| 111 min</Runtime>" (check the link)

    * also, double spaces in actors are mostly fixed. i say mostly because there are still couple of cases when there are double spaces in actors tag (check the link)

    * movie id 17: Noc (Shab): KAMO.hr - No?
as you can see in moviedata.xml, the duration for that movie is not what i expect it to be.. basically, the duration on kamo.hr site is 90 minutes, the tag in moviedata.xml is: "<Runtime>120 min__| West Germany:110 min (Berlin International Film Festival)</Runtime>"
i don't know where did this come from but even if this is true, i'd be more happy with the string "<Runtime>120 min | 110 min</Runtime>"

    * #st_premieredate is working but you don't set the visible status of the control id 38 when in movie details. but this can be worked around using visible status of some other control, for example id 26.

thank you! i'll include a new Black & White 1080 skin file after i test with a new version..

    best regards,
    se

Okay, I am a bit bummed out. I got my mediaportal setup exactly how i like it.. it was running flawlessly. I installed this plugin using the plugin installer. Everything installed and configured fine. However, the plugin wasnt working using the streamed MP theme. Under plugins the place where the 'My Showtimes' was supposed to be was blank. Going in there - there were no options other than some numbers 1 and 2. THose did nothing. So I just uninstalled the plugin using the plugin installer. Now Media portal wont start. I reinstalled the plugin - same thing. NO errors, No warnings. It just wont start. It is running in the background - but it wont start.. Any ideas? Im going to be supremely pissed if i have to reinstall Mediaportal because of a plugin.

Try editing the streamed MP basic home screen - increase the menu width to 360 with the editor. The menu should then show the text.
No idea why MP wont start though...

Will do - when i get home.. I got mediaportal to start by just reinstalling it and restoring the databases, plugins, and skins. I reinstalled this plugin.. The plugin seems to have installed fine, but the mtsa.exe causes a fault when updating. I am running vista 64bit. Maybe thats the problem. I replaced the mtsa.exe that came with this with the standalone version.. it doesnt fault. But it also doesnt seem to update the xml files. It also pops up some thing every once in a while inside of Mediaportal that basically says 'I didnt download showtimes <cancel>' So I had to disable the grabber to get rid of that annoying message that would appear in the middle of a movie or music.

Just an interesting enhancement that I've hacked but could be made more elegant. I use the StreamedMP skin and have added "Theatres" to my menu. However, by default I'm forced to choose some other backdrop(fanart?) for that menu item. What I really want is for it to show the >current< movie fanarts when I scroll to "Theatres" at the main menu.

In other words, when I go through the main menu, as you select each menu item (TV, Movies, Photos, whatever) the backdrop changes. I want it to change to a backdrop that is one of the >current< movies that are showing - not just any movie, and not movies that >were< showing at some point in the past.

To do this I created a Theatres subdirectory in the skin subfolder, and have a small .BAT file that deletes the contents of this directory daily, and copies over the contents of the fanart directory used by this plugin.

Ideally, it would be great if there were an option to choose the directory where fanarts can be placed for this plugin. Currently you can only choose the parent directory where it puts all fanart, dvd covers, trailer video files, etc. If this could be enhanced to also copy fanart to the skin's directory (and delete old ones too) then it could be automated.

As it it, the .bat file works fine and the effect is pretty cool.
