For all of you that have problems viewing ".flv" movie trailers, please, try to play those files with "Windows Media Player", if it works they should also works in MP.

X Dadeo

However, whenever I use Show All Movies, it reverts to the Icons view! How do I change that? Can I do it in the skin file?

My fault... All fix it ASAP.

Bye,
Nephilim

@Nephilim,

I just tried to play the *.flv files in Windows Media Player (11). Same behaviour: Video ok, but no sound.

What else can I try ?

Marcus

This shows that is a codec problem.

Do you have FFDshow for the audio part?

Nephilim,

sorry but I am overseeing something obvious. I do have the FFDshow codecs installed. In MP Configuration under "Video Player" I have ffdshow audio decoder for MPEG/AC3 audio decoder. For MPEG-2 video decoder I have MPC MPEG2 Video Decoder (Gabest).

Maybe it is just not the right place to set the codecs ?

Thanks a lot for looking into it !

Marcus

When I install this according to the provided PDF manual, I get an error in MP when I try to start this plugin saying there is a problem loading C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\config.xml

Well thats logical since that file doesn't even exist. Why does this happen? I followed the instructions (MP1.0.2).

OK so after MPI install I selected open plugin config and did the configuration. Thats useless since you MUST do it all over again by starting MP configuration. In MP config I have to enable the grabber... then configure it again. So the option to configure this plugin right after installation should be removed.

But then.. in MP... when I open the plugin there is nothing, just the empty XFactor skin... and when I select show all movies... still nothing.. switching back and forth a few times to theater view crashes MP. I guess it's still a bit buggy?

Thanks for the quick response!
I did the manual download. I did got 2 popups saying for some cinemas the data could not be downloaded. When I check the folder where the data should be saved, all folder

No I didn't know about the updated skinfile. But I don't think thats the problem. When I check the folder containing the data, the backdrops, temp and posters folders are all empty.
So I suppose for the selected cities (The Netherlands, Amsterdam|Den Haag) and the selected cinemas (I selected all cinemas) there is no data available?

I'm trying to do that first download and I've found the nearby cinemas and am happy with the loist etc. I click on the Manual Download button and a progress bar appears at the bottom, but aside from the normal Vista colour that sweeps slowly across the bar repeatedly, there's no indication that it's doing any thing. The OK/Cancel buttons remain both clickable, but I don't want to click OK yet until I know that the download has finished. I think that's what I did last time and I don't think it finished, because I get the "unable to load some required xml files" error message.

So now I'm trying to do it properly, but have run into this confusion.

How do I tell that the manual download has completed? Shouldn't the 'OK' button be greyed out until it completes, or can I simply click OK immediately after I click 'Manual Download' and be done with it?

Update: Ah, Ijust clicked Manual Download again and was told that mtsa.exe was already running. So I now know I can monitor progress via Task Manager, which is good enough. It's clearly running so I'll leave it for a while.
