Problem fixed

Please ignore the previous post. I discovered the problem was another MPI installer app that had not installed properly. Reinstalling all the MPI installer apps, including Showtimes, resolved the issue. I further saw the grabber once I changed to expert mode. I'm now at the point of downloading theaters, so hopeful all is well.

Thanx, 1,000,000
:D

@zilexa;

that's probably the skin file you are using. Which is that? I have a working one for streamedMP posted a while back by Nephilim

yes it was a skin issue, I used XFactor (old version). For other reasons I had to completely reinstall my system. MP is now also installed and I will install ShowTimes plugin tomorrow, see how it works :)

EDIT: I am sorry but it just seems to be too buggy. This time when I press get theathers the config and mp config crash. did a clean install. Choos Netherlands and Amsterdam and press get.

EDIT: when I choose Netherlands and den haag|rotterdam|amsterdam it does seem to work. Now doing the manual download...

It worked, not sure why it went wrong when I only selected Amsterdam. Now it's all working fine!
I did find a bug in the XFactor skinfile, the text goes over the glass/mirror effect of the image. Posted this in the Google Code of the XFactor skin :)

not sure where to find the logfile?

Just to let everyone know, the plugin works just fine for me now (MP1.0.2 on XP), for Dutch cinemas with XFactor skin (R340). And the minor cosmetic bug is already resolved in the future release of XFactor skin :)

Hello all,

Thank you for a fantastic plugin! Everything works great EXCEPT the playing of trailers. I have attached a screen print. Using BlackGlass skin and MP 1.1.0 Beta. Any suggestions? I have updated using both the files in the first post of this thread. Trailers inside my "online Videos" plug in works perfect. Not sure why this one keeps telling me no audio code. Trailers work find in "my trailers" plug in as well. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Sorry for the attachment I couldn't figure out how to just paste the screen print!

Please post your MTSA.log.

Okay,

I have attached my watchdog files and also a screen print. any help would be appreciated. thanks!

How were you able to fix this? I am having the same issue with .MOV files.

They play just fine in Windows Media Player Classic (streaming from apple.com) and the online trailers plugin plays them fine as well - just in showtime do I get this error message. Since online trailers plays them OK I don' think this is a codec issue.

Please post your MTSA.log.

Okay, Please see my attached mtsa.log for your review. Also attached the gui.xml I am using! Again, any help or comment would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Is there a fix for this? Sorry for the double posts - but noticed this one had LOG files attached and no one responded.

So I've tried everything to get MOV's to play.

Completey deleted mediaportal and did a fresh install. Removed all my codecs and reinstalled K-Lite and Quicktime alternative.

Now... mov's play in windows mediaplayer in windows, play in explorer but still will not play in the showtimes plugin.

What player is this thing using?

What codec does it try to load for audio and video?

I'll post more logs if it will help - but I think it's been done by another use with no fix. I've read in this thread that if it plays in windows media player it should work in the showtimes plugin... but it does not for me.

I still get a can't play message and a blank audio codec message just like previously posted by other users.

Ok.. more root cause...

so I have windows playing local and streaming MOV's perfect. I set the showtimes plugin to download local copies of 480P trailers to see if that would work.

It downloaded files but they are not trailers - they are all 25K big and text files names .MOV files. Here is one for you to look at.

When I place a known good MOV file in the foler renamed as a movie it plays just fine in the showtimes plugin. Streaming still does not work.

Why is it not downloading movies? Is it a web access issue or something with a firewall? why is it making txt files into MOV files?

Here are the logs when trying to play streaming MOV.. what are VMR PIN errors???? and "No translation found for id 71119924".... any advice?
