Good day everyone, just wondering if any of you are able to have the display to work? i just rebuild mine last month and i am running linux mint. the driver i downloaded is over 13 years old, but the display shows only "home theater" i ran some command in the terminal and the system shows the display, but i have no idea how to make it work. even if i play my movies or music, the display stays the same as "HOME THEATER"

Which bitness version of the MediaPortal are you using? It seems there is certain HID x64 incompatibility in VFD Control class.
Please:

• post you MediaPortal.log and Configuration.log in debug mode
• make sure the checkbox "Extensive logging" on the MiniDisplay setup tab is checked(and restart Configuration)

i'm using VLC and mpv media player under linux mint, you are gonna have to help me on the log part of it, not really familiar with linux system. i get by, but i am still learning the commands and the terminal

I finally got the display to work as it should yesterday by installing windows Vista "32 bit" since i have nothing to work on for linux mint, i was wondering if any of you have the latest XPC tool 32 bit version laying around that you could share. Thanks
