    From my perspective no.

    ...but I'm wondering, how/where did you acquire MPIPTVSource.ini? Just want to make sure you're using a valid one.

    Also, you're using this release, right?

    Can you please post screenshots of the following folders (so I can see which files are present):
    • c:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server
    • The MP2 Server base install directory.
    • The MP2 Server SlimTV plugin directory (whichever contains TVLibrary.dll and/or MPIPTVSource.ax)

    I pulled the ini file from C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MP2-Server\SlimTVCore\v3.0
    Yes that is the release I am using.
    the file attached shows the directory info. Not sure if I have the right directory for #2 or not. I expect you are looking for more than a plugins directory

    Just chiming in with the same problem. Also, every suggestion by dev tem results in same thing as with @briancampo, so maybe adding more logs to the thread wouldn't be constructive?

    Anyway, as I see it, the problem lies in TV server not generating any net traffic at all. Performance graphs indicate that even the request packet doesn't go out. Firewall entries for MP2 Client, Server and ServiceMonitor are in place. Also, turning firewall off doesn't solve anything.

    Well yes, I agree... and that's because there are problems with the way MP2 has installed the IPTV filter. I suspect dependencies, config and/or more are missing or in the wrong place. I'm still running XP so can't install MP2. I have to wait for screenshots of directory contents in order to see where files have been put, and hopefully this will show the problem.

    @briancampo
    Thanks for the info.

    Yes, for this part I'm really surprised that there aren't more files in C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MP2-Server.
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server looks relatively complete at first glance... but I wouldn't have thought that MP2 would be using that directory. That's the standard MP1 TV Server install directory.

    Can you please have another go and get a list of all the files under C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\, including sub-directories.

    Thanks in advance. :)

    Here's filelist of my setup. Please note that \log and .ini in the TV server directory had to be placed there by myself as per discussion in this thread. Also, I need the .ini because inconsistencies in IPTV stream must not be analysed (there's a setting in there for that)

    Edit: Note: this is the new setup ONLY as per Morpheus's thread here. Original MP2 or MP1 setup has never been run. Also no plugins yet.

    Perfect thanks! (y)

    Here we have one mystery solved:
    31-07-2015 09:13:06.091 [302c] [{96758FAF-5BBB-4019-B6BF-ED862CACB69E}] [Info] MPIPTVSourceStream: LoadPlugins(): Start
    31-07-2015 09:13:06.097 [302c] [{96758FAF-5BBB-4019-B6BF-ED862CACB69E}] [Info] MPIPTVSourceStream: LoadPlugins(): found protocols: 0
    31-07-2015 09:13:06.101 [302c] [{96758FAF-5BBB-4019-B6BF-ED862CACB69E}] [Info] MPIPTVSourceStream: LoadPlugins(): End

    This means the MPIPTVSource.ax is not loading MPIPTV_UDP.dll etc.

    Please try to copy MPIPTV_*.dll to X:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MP2-Server, then restart MP2 Server and try to scan again.
