Thanks for all the encouragement!

I'm slowly plugging away at it, but it is not yet ready. Too many files to go through, not enough focused free time. Because it looks so different on my PC from my TV I have to constantly make tweeks (change sizes, change colors, change overlay) trying to get comments from my wife, who doesn't understand all the fluff and extras... being practical is more important in the function, she doesn't notice the little tweaks here and there, she just wants to get to the meat of the issue and watch TV or a movie, and play music. But life is too short, eh?

I try as I can to impress her .....

The next screen caps will look different from what I've posted before, but the general theme remains the same. I don't know when It will be ready enough to post.

Otherwise to keep me and my wife happy, could you post some new screenies? I really looking forward to the release of this skin. I showed it to my wife and a miracle happened, see liked it.

Thanks for the encouragement..... I'm glad your wife likes it.

My wife had eye surgery a couple years ago and is still having issues.... My goal is to get her interaction and make changes to accommodate her needs. Like I said before, she isn't really interested in all the design elements (including Fan-Art), as long as she can find her way through areas like TV, Recorded-TV, EPG, Movies and Music. I haven't even attempted to try to support plug-ins, other than Media Slayer and Moving Pictures (the only two I use at all), and I'm not even sure that I understand the use of some of the other plug-ins enough to get them to work.

As far as updates... I haven't had much time to work on the skin... and she works 2 jobs, so she's not always interested in critiquing when she sits down.

I've still got to make changes to the full screen tv OSDs and overlays... that's my next effort when I have time.

I appreciate your continuing enthusiasm.... I wish "I" had some of it ....

It's going slow. I'm still trying to smooth out some rough areas in the main screens and things I'm not totally happy with in the general style of menus and such .... it looks almost completely different from the pics I've posted before. I need to get the main parts done the hard way first (lots of extra code) then go back to refine it so it's easier to make changes later on when I start to work on other plugins.

I hope I can finish it before I'm forced to go out to buy a new TV (it doesn't look like THAT will happen soon).

I am planning to start running MP on a small 15 inch screen (just for some basic viewing and music) and this skin really appeals to me!
It's the best looking 4:3 skin outthere so far. I would be glad to help out on some development of the plugins (I have loads of them).

I myself have some critical stuff for a proper 4:3 skin. The TV will be 15 inch, which is really, really tiny. I will probably myself tweak some 4:3 skin for readibility on this res/size. It would be awesome if I could use this skin for this purpose instead of blue3, but I guess'll have to wait just like the others

I myself am not really a designer. I know my way around all relevant programs (photoshop etc) and can make some basic stuff that looks kinda ok but I guess it's just not in me to pull of the other great wide screen skins out there. I dont mean that this skin doesn't look as great as the others, I just mean that I couldn't come up with those design ideas
But I do know loads of MP skinning basics and already tweaked tons of XML's to my liking.

Here is the preview of the basic home screen that I'm using. Still so much to figure out. There still some graphics I have to redo. The preview below is a lot darker than it is on an analog TV. The menu background is a bit more transparent. For some reason the attachment looks even darker on my monitor than the actual skin file.
