Sounds simple enough, will give it a try when I get some free time.

    Hi DJBlu
I have downloaded your little proggy and ProgDVB, I carried out your instructions to the letter and got a successful download which I imported into your program ok, saved this as TVGuide.xml ok, now this is where I get a bit lost. I have been copying the TVGuide.xml into C:\Docs and Settings\All Users\App Data\Media Portal\xmltv, then I run TVServer Config, Plugins, XmlTV, Force Import. When I look at the Mappings Tab it shows all channels as white, so all data appears to be imported correctly, yet when I start MP the EPG has a lot of "No Data Available" for the channels which does not change no matter how long I leave it running, My question is am I doing something wrong? as this is the problem I have been getting with the built in xmlTV and webEPG. I have just done a fresh re-install of MP on to a new installation of Win XP with all updates and SP3.

    Hi DJBlu
Don't worry I have realized that I have to disable the xmlTV plugin in TVServer config, and just replace the TVguide.xml file with the one written by your program, now working very well, for the first time I have almost all the channels populated in MP's EPG, thanks for all the hard work.

    Not too good,

Infact I haven't had the time to touch the code.

I have a few days off starting tommorow.

Might have something for you to look at in a few more days.

    Hi DJBlu
Sorry to keep hassling you but I have a small problem with OpenEPGtoXMLTV, it works and works well, all of my listings are there but they are all 1 hour in front? so if say a program is due to sart at 16.00 then the EPG will be showing it as starting at 15.00, is there a way I can alter the EPG to show everything an hour later? or is there something I am not doing right?

Sorry this is lazy programming on my behalf. They are sent out on the satellite in GMT and I added the compensation for my timezone. the later releases will allow you to set it. Or I'll get it from your computers.

edit : if you turn off the compensation in XMLTV plugin for now then it will correct this problem.

    Hi DJBlu
Yep I unticked the compensation in xmlTV plugin and that cured it, even though the compensation time was set to 0 hours and 0 mins just the fact that it was ticked seemed to be making it go 1 hour early?

    Thanks

just a quick question about this app. I have DVB-C and DVB-S uk freesat. my DVB-C EPG populates perfect for 3 days in advance but freesat only ever works for now and next on the channel I tune to.

since this app over writes the tvguide.xml file would I be right in saying all my DVB-C info would be lost??

No, this mearly writes a file for XMLTV to import. Your DVB-C EPG should remain in the database.
