Based on SpudR's comment, I downloaded svn23178 [10/7/2009] and installed it.
The EPG grabber now works! Great work. Nice to see the patch has been incorporated into the MP base software.
Another question: I live in Belgium and our sat-provider [TV Vlaanderen / Canal Digitaal] uses MediaHighWay [MHW] to send through the EPG data for the flemisch stations. Basically, we need to tune for 30 seconds to a specific channel for the EPG to get loaded. Any idea if this would also be possible to collect the same patch as for Freesat?

If you select grab EPG whilst timeshifting and turn the channel to BritShorts from within Media Portal it will load the EPG.
I think this is what you meant if not then please explain a little more.

First of all, the Freesat EPG Grabber now works in 1.1.0 Alpha using the latest svn. Great stuff!
My other question was related to grabbing the EPG for "TV Vlaanderen"-channels [Astra 19.2°E, tp 12722H]. I believe they also transmit their EPG data along with the DVB signal (on my STB I need to tune to one of the channels on the tp, to load the EPG). I was just wondering if the same type of programming could be used to get this data like I'l doing for Freesat channels.
I tried selecting the Tv Vlaanderen EPG channel (één) to see if it would load but nothing much happened.
Guess I will have to raise a feature request?

Update: Selecting the TV Vlaanderen channel "één" in the EPG Grabber list [just like you do for BritShorts, pulls down the EPG information. This is simply great.
DJBlu, you can now boast that your patch is able to download - next to Freesat & Sky IT/UK - it is also able to download the EPG Data for TV Vlaanderen (Belgium) and Canal Digitaal (The Netherlands). Only thing you need to do is to select channel "één" and channel "NED1" in the grabber.
Maybe you can update your documentation?

Tried all of the above again and still ch5 is empty - but I just tried to watch 5 and it's unviewable so maybe it has moved - I guess a channel scan would possibly fix that?
Was trying to avoid the Alpha s/w as I guess it may not be stabe and I would end up with more issues!
Anyone getting an error on the TV-Server config Manual Control page when using this modified TSWriter? Basicaly, you try to choose the Manual Control tab and it doens't load.
I have been getting it on and off of late, and I think it may be related to using the TSWriter, or somethign to do with EPG grabbing at the very least, since it occurs more frequently when I use the modified EPG grabber (which itself I have never got to work for me )

Theres a post or two about the manual control tab not working. I dont have time to find it for you but it is there. The easiest remedy (The one I used) is to back up your settings, uninstall, reinstall. Then restore settings. IIRC the problem stems from altering the radio groups on for the record. I presume your using that?
