The TS writer is picking up ITV-HD for me, but of course that info is almost always 'Close' because there is nothing broadcasting on ITV-HD channel most of the time

Is the "ITV HD is not available" placeholder showing for you at the moment?

I'll check tonight. I haven't been able to check this as like I say I'll be remaining on 1.0 on this machine. I'll try my test box and report back.

Actually, no! As I said in my last post, because there's been nothing on ITV-HD I haven't bothered actually switching to the channel but now that I have just tried I get the "No tuner was able.." message. The epg data is there though so it' not an epg issue surely more of ITV-HD issue!


Also I'm still having the +1 channel issues. I removed all the channel and readded them but I've still got the same prob - ITV3 data is exactly the same as ITV3+1 data. Anyone else in the same position?

Can I ask why you feel the need to use the plugin to modify the EPG? This TSWriter will add the +1 channels with no problems.

P.S. By added do you mean scanned or imported?

Hi DJBlu,

Basically I'm trying to establish whether the +1 problem was something I had done or an issue with the epg data. From your reply I can see that its is obviously something I have done. This has happened because I'm using FortheRecord too. Basically in the FortheRecord plugin there is the channels tab. I think what have done is altered this somehow when I shouldn't have.

Anyway I've just uninstalled FortheRecord and rescanned my channels in TVserver config and I'm now in the process of refreshing the EPG.

The above worked. I had a feeling that it must have been something I had done but I wanted confirmation before I wiped everything off and started from scratch.

Great, I now have the correct EPG data for the +1 channels. I'm pleased now However, I can't see ITV-HD. Not that I'm too bothered about that at the moment as seen as there never seems to be anything on there!

Can't get it to work - please help

Hi DJBlu,

I've downloaded the latest version of the TSWriter.ax and other files [TSWriter timestamped 10/01/2009] and followed the prcoedure as described in the pdf. Currently I only configured it to pick up the Freesat data using Britshorts.
When I press the "Refresh DVB EPG" button, I can see the status message for DVBs going from 'idle' to "Grabbing EPG". First remark here is that it is quickly finished instead of the long wait I anticipated. Takes no more than 5-10 mins.
When I go into MyTV, I don't see any EPG data displayed.
I have added my EPG.LOG. In the log I see that it retrieves some data but it also gives errors.

Could you please have a look and point out where I'm going wrong?

If you need other log files, please let me know.

You must ensure that the DVB-S/S2 card that is being used to grab EPG is enabled to do so. You
can check this
in TV Server configuration. Navigate to TV Servers --> [Name of your Server]
Click on the card you wish to use for EPG then click edit.
Under Grab EPG the following should be selected "Allow this card to be used for EPG grabbing"

If you have followed this then please let me know as there may have been a change in this SVN

However, the problem wasn't there. .

In the TV EPG Grabber, I neglected to uncheck the box next to "Store data only for selected channels".
Once I unchecked this, and checked "Brit Shorts" in the list, the EPG data was correctly allocated. Pfew!
Maybe a good idea to explicitely mention this in the accompanying pdf? I mean, it's a genuine mistake
