Hi all

I have SkyStar 2 Dvb-S card, and analog Leadtek WinFast DV2000. As I can se in compatibility list of analog TV cards mine is not compatible with MP. I'm planing to buy Dvb-T card Leadtek WinFast DTV 1000T as it is compatible with MP.

Now I'm woried if my SkyStar 2 and WinFast DTV 1000T will be compatible, and will I be able to watch programs from these two cards?
How will programs be displayed? All in one channel list or separated list chanals from Dvb-T and Dvb-S?

Regards

So those that are DBV-S + DVB+T won't work?

(or my plan of having my PVR-350 along with a SkyStar2 and a FlyDVB Trio?)

    like the manual says.

    WindowsXP:
    1xDVB -> works
    one or more analog cards -> works
    1xDVB + one or more analog cards -> works
    2 or more DVB Cards -> wont work

    WindowsXP MCE2005:
    1xDVB -> works
    one or more analog cards -> works
    1xDVB + one or more analog cards -> works
    2 or more DVB Cards -> works
    one or more DVB + one or more analog cards -> works

    **edit**
    with WindowsXP you can only use ONE DVB-Card!

    The only exception is the Skystar2, which is the only supported non BDA-Driver card.

    The reason why it works with WindowsMCE and not with WindowsXP is that with WindowsMCE2005 Rollup2 Microsoft fixed the bug that is causing this issue with .
    Microsoft has still not fixed the bug in WindowsXP. Maybe with SP3.

    Than that info is sadly wrong. Ive got 3 cards running under XP, 2x dvb-t and 1x analogue.

    Are you using those updated DLL files from MCE patch? For most of people those files are needed (me included) or there will be random crashes on system side when using more than one DVB card at the same time.

    SkyStar 2 isn't using BDA drivers, that's why you aren't affected by this Microsoft bug.

    If it works for you, you're lucky guys. There are clearly documented bugs in the XP version of psisdecd.dll (and other files). Those bugs are fixed in an MCE rollup version. The bug only occurs with 2 or more BDA cards. Do some googling to get more information. :wink:

    So if it's working for you without exchanging those buggy files, lucky you. But don't be surprised if weird stuff happens to your MyTV or even your recordings. For most users MediaPortal and other apps that use BDA have bad problems if you use more than 1 BDA card. Simple fix: Get those files from a fully patched MCE2005 and exchange (& register) them with your XP ones. As those files are copyrighted, we cannot distribute them.
