Am I the only one that has got channels (eg. Tier.TV on Anstra 19,2°) that only give a still image? Using the FireDTV Viewer the channels work without any problem. Tried different Video and Audio codecs but without success.
I really would like to know if these channels are working for others here with MediaPortal or if there is a problem with the TVServer.
In general it's not a big deal since these channels do not belong to my favorites but then on the other side it would be nice to get them to work also.
Somewhere I've read about a problem with mono audio here on the forum. Is this the cause?

Hi Wbunaarf,

unfortunately this did not fix this issue. Installed the latest svn that should contain the fix for your problem.
Did a complete rescan of the channels tried to watch the channels. Logs are from latest svn
Tried TV Canaria, TV Galicia and Tier.TV all on Astra 19,2° both in TV Server preview and in Media Portal. Always got a still image only.

Hi,

What I meant was the part in the third post. The updated dll was for a problem I only had with a few HD channels.

The problem I had with a still image on a few channels was that a sound stream was missing (in that case the ac3 stream). By unchecking 'prefer AC3' it started to work again.

Have you tried checking with graphstudio which filters are actually beeing used? If I read your logfile correct, your channels seems to have mpeg1 sound. If you are using ffdshow, you could try changing decoder there.

I'm pretty lousy at reading those log files, so I probably can't be of any more help.

Thanks for the tip Wbunaarf.

What I now did to fix this is to get the latest ffdshow version. Then in the codecs page of the ffdshow audio config I changed the MP1, MP2 decoder from libmad to libavcodec.
Now all the channels work without any problem.

In my case i have two tunners, an HVR-1300 and an HVR-4000. Got this problem with some SAT channels on HVR-4000 oriented to hispasat 30ºW.

This solution fixes the problem, but then i get problems on the DVB-T channels: Sometimes they freeze, sometimes work, but its quite annoying.:confused::confused:

So I am sticking to MPC codec since I mostly watch DVB-T tv and keep satellite server disabled.

Any hint about wich codec would work well with all channels?

I have the exact same problem using FireDTV. Some channels work in firedtv viewer but not in MP - still images and no sound.
The audio is mpg2 and there is only one channel.

I'm currently using MPC codec, switching to "MainConcept MPEG Audio Decoder" solves the problem.. for the specific channels but the rest of the working channels the audio is in slow motion (deep and destorded).

I thin the MPC codec has a bug og limitation.. but what?
