hello!

many thanks for black glass-skin ... it is not only the best visual concept i think, it also works flawlessy without any problems... like no other skin does... (okay, blue3 does ) ... even the black glass nova has some problems to display informations from db or some other issues, especially in my tv series...

and i like the dim-effekt for bg-pics very well, this make it more eye-friendly, some menu-hoovers are not mine, but this is subject to change by everyone self i think...

my suggestions only are... on homescreen, the rss-ticker could be somewhat bigger and a little graphical display of wheater (with sun/clouds, like used on wheather-plugin screen) would be nice..;-)

now my questions... first about my tv-series...

i get displayed empty transparent dvd-cases ... on moving pictures, tehere are the dvd-covers displayed in this cases, but in my tv-series not...?!

i have tried to find some settings to point that out how to insert picturs there, but need your help here...

next question is about your work-arounds in the fixes-thread about black glass 2.6.0

there you say, you have new OSDs and volume-bars... when i put them to the black-glass-skin-folders... will the old one's get replaced or i am able to toggel between them? maybe you can post screenshots with alternatives/cosmetical options, so it becomes less risky, instead to test erverything on "living skin-folders" each time ;-))

The old ones will be replaced. Just make sure you delete Black Glass skin folder under Cache, before running MP again after you overwrite the related files with the alternate ones...

I don't know, it could be in future releases.

There are empty cases because the plugins do not find the covers of the tvseries or films. It's not a skin fault!

ok, my intention wasen't to say its a skin fault, but to ask, where to put the cover pictures manually ... it works all fine in moving pictures, but in my-tv-series there are all cases blank....

then there iss a little other issue found: when i do skip, then there is a bar on top, but it is uni-color and displays only the Filename and the actual time, i can't see, how much of the film is already seen/left ... also the amount of skipping will not display = ... +15 sek.... +30 sek.... +1 min.. and so on... doesn't shows up...

i also so missing an progress-bar (already seen/unseen left) when pressing the info-button...

can i fix that both with any of the osd-alternatives you provide in the other thread?

You have to check your tvseries plugin settings to retrieve the correct dvd cover for your series. Maybe you could ask in the tvseries plugin subforum.


You have centainly a problem on your tv settings. The progress bar is at the bottom edge of the screen. If you cannot see it, you have to change the resolution or change the setting of your video card trying to center the picture.

Anyways, both the alternative osd packages should overcome this problem, as they both have some space from the upper and bottom edges of the screen.
