    Hi Folks,

I switched from RTSP to UNC-Paths what greatly enhanced zapping-time and stuttering.
However, some recordings now fail to play. It looks like MP thinks those streams are radio-streams rather than TV. Switching back to RTSP fixes the issue but brings back performance problems (stuttering).
I am quite sure that I already came across threads on this topic but I have not been able to find them using either boardsearch or google.
A logfile of a clear MP-start and the attempt to play an affected recording is attached.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Cheers

This seems to have something to do with either where the recorded .ts files are saved or how they are stored in the recordings-database.
I noticed that for some reason MP stored recordings in seperate folders for channel and date rather than in a seperate folder per series (that's how it used to be). After I moved the .ts files to the main recordign folder and reimported them to the DB (via tv-server config), most files played without problems.
The recordings that didn't play had many spaces in their filenames. After shortening the filenames of both .ts and .xml files and reimporting them to the db, they played as well.

So I think, it's either a problem with subfolders / filenames when using UNC-paths or for some reason those recordings where not correctly inserted into the database.

As a workaraound, you can still watch problematic files using the movie-plugin.

UNC hack have some issues related to recordings folders structure.
If you prefer to use unc, you better to just add recordings folder to video and play it as other video
