This is a repost of thread 36481 (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...ter-tv-channel-changing-there-no-sound-36481/)
It was suggested I should repost it as a possible bug under TVserver. At certain times of the day I find I get no sound when changing between channels. This happens almost every night for me after I switch between news services. I suspect it's just the combination of channels and media types. I feel the problem can be seen in the logs particularly tsreader.log at 19:06:12.869. This is when I believe the channel change (described below) to SBS occurs and tsreader fails to detect the audio... I feel the stream is fixed when I seek to the end at 19:06:56.119. Here you see in the log tsreader sync audio and video!
Original post/descirption below.
Ok, I've finally got an instance captured in the logs. I fired up MP and tuned to Channel Nine.. watch for about a minute then went 'x' to the TVGuide and selected Channel SBS.
The video switched but no sound came through via AC3filter. After about 60 seconds I hit the 'right arrrow' to cause a seek to the end of the stream. The audio immediately came through. I'm hoping this helps locate the streaming and/or codec issue. Setup as above.
Cheers
