Sometimes no Sound on EinsExtra (2 Viewers)

Hi all,

first of all I would like to say that MP gets more and more stable with every release. I like the software very much. Thank you guys.
I have a problem with sound on some German TV stations. For example on the TV station EinsExtra (german) the sound sometimes disappears. This means that some shows have sound and other shows have no sound. I have attached the logs for a show which has no sound. This error happens for me since RC 2 or even sooner. Maybe someone can help me?

But i do not encounter that "no audio issue".

but your log shows that TS-Reader was not able to connect some Pin's

sadly i do not have any idea why, because i have nearly the same setup and i do not encounter that problem.

thanks for your reply. Could it be an old driver? What means VMR9? Today I testet EinsExtra for 2 hours. The sound disappears only when one show ends and another starts (maybe there's a change in some transmisson parameters like bitrate or something?). When another show starts then the sound starts again. The changes sound/no sound happens only when a new show starts. Can I provide you with some additonal informations?

What means VMR9?

VideoMixingRenderer 9.
Thats just the renderer which brings the pictures to your screen.

"how long" is that audioloss?

have you selected the "prefer AC3 sound" setting in configuration -> television?

because if you did, then you might hear a short 1sec audioloss, depending on the broadcaster/tv-channel. if you use a dolby-system it might be even longer.

I will try to record such a situation and upload it. The audioloss is as long as the current tv show (15 minutes and even longer). When another show starts then the audio is sometimes back. In 90 percent of the time the sound is there and everything works fine.
With the TV Station "ONTV Regional" I have similar problems. I can hear no sound all the time. Maybe someone can confirm the issue with this TV station.

I recorded the sound / no sound issue but the file (*.ts) is 35 MB big and i have no tool to cut it. Is there a possibility to post files with this size or can anyone give me a hint how to cut this file?

BTW. The TV Station "ONTV Regional" starts its broadcasting at 8 p.m GMT+1 (german time) every day.

i also have noticed the loss of audio on the channel einsextra you mentioned... but not watching this channel regulary so have not tested it any further... must test it in the evening if it also occurs on "ONTV Regional"...

Can somebody confirm if he has the same problems with TV station "Einsextra" or "ONTV Regional" please? It would also be helpful to me if somebody tells me that he can hear sound on "ONTV Regional" without problems. Thanks in advance.
