I get this picture sometimes when MP starts up, it never happened while watching TV. Also it does not go away by itself. I need to shutdown MP and start it again to get it working again (or turn the tv off and back on again in the "my tv" menu). Sometimes I get the strange picture a couple of times in a row, but just jet I did not seem to able to get it working again. After shutting down and starting up MP 15 times I rebooted and it was fine again.

Has anyone got an idea what is causing this problem?

    Hi,

you say this does not happen while watching TV, but TV is diplayed? Does this happen in other plugins?

I think it is your graphics card. How is it connected to your TV?

What I ment by saying it did not happend while watching TV, it does not occor when I am watching TV for a while. If MP starts and the picture is fine I can watch for hours, the problem only occors (sometimes) when I start MP (or turn tv on/off in My TV).

I dont use a TV I use an Iiyama CRT monitor connected with a standard VGA cable.

I am just guessing, but looks like your monitor is not synchronising to the horizontal scan frequency correctly. Make sure that you have your video card set to the frequencies that your monitor can support - maybe try reducing the scanning frequencies (and the resolution - try 800x600) and see if that fixes it. Also, make sure you have the output set to progressive, not interlaced.

Something else I just noticed - does your video card (Geforce 2 400 MX) support DirectX 9 and VMR renderless? I don't think it does, since it is quite an old card?

Well I know my geforce2 isn't much, but it has been running ok for 3-4 weeks now. My problem just started a few days ago.

OK, so what changed a few days ago that your monitor won't sync to the horizontal scan frequency reliably?

Has your monitor become faulty - have you tried another monitor?
