Because my collection contains about 1000 full albums and a few 1000 songs, I think having the same structure on my HTPC as on my desktop makes it easier - but again: I'm open for improvements.

In shares view every time you open it MP needs to figure out what tracks are in there and then when you look it needs to read the tags of each track. In Database mode the import means tags do not have to be read again and all your songs are stored in the database. I have around 8,000 songs in my collection and the differenrence between shares and database views is very noticable

I've checked those wrongfully displayed files in tag & rename and they just look similar to the others.
I even have at least 1 directory with a mix of single songs in which all of them are displayed that way.

Well, we don't use T&R for Tag reading.
There might still be a problem.

i could offer to you, that you upload 1 or 2 of the files in question to some free file hoster and PM me the link.
After the Christmas holidays, i will have a look at it.
Can only be a minor thing.
