Help!

I just deleted my TV Server and tried to install a later version and was given the above message.

I've tried to delete all traces of TV Server from my PC but something is stopping me installing TV Server again. I've used the Microsoft Cleanup programme.

What else can I do? I can't use anything at the mo!

Thanks very much,

can you go to Start/Run/ services.msc and look for the MediaPortal TV service from there? Maybe if you stop that service (if it is running) and then try?

When you removed the TV server did you uninstall it via add/remove programs or just delete it?

    Hi, thanks for the reply.

I did use "add/remove programmes" to remove TV Server.

I've run the services.msg programme already too... Tv Server appears in the list of services; i've tried disabling it but that didn't help, I can't start or stop the service because TV Server has been deleted (apart from this annoying fragment).

Any other ideas? I guess there must be a way of cleaning it out completely..

    Thanks again

This problem is fixed now, thanks to Nettech. Here's the solution:

Click on start, then run and type regedit. This allows you edit the resistry. Go to:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>System>CurrentControlSet>Servic es>TVservevice.

Right click on the TV Service folder and delete it.

    Cheers
