Problems

I don't think a reinstall would solve any problems, since this was a totally clean install, Windows et al (the disk was reformatted).

The reason I'm using 0.2.0.0 is that I read somewhere on the MP site that it was the latest version that would run with the MP server. So that's why I've chosen this version.

I did find something in the registry in the MediaPortal section. There is an entry labeled DVRDirectory and it was pointing at C:\...\My Documents\My Recordings\card1

I made it point at E:\MediaFiles\TV\card1

I have not tested if this entry gets changed when I change the recording path in MediaPortal - Setup.

I still have not had any luck getting the EPG to download. I configured the plugin, downloaded the lineup listings (I have two - I know I have to use two subscriptions), then I modified the lineup and tried to update zap2it. I got a timeout and ever since I have not been able to connect to the zap2it via the setup program. I tried running MP and the EPG didn't download (at least I see no activity on my DSL modem).

After this I tried the TV recording again and that's when I discovered the reversion.

Found it!

After some experimenting, I found why my recording path was getting reset to the default value. The culprit is the Setup Wizard inside Settings. Each time the Setup Wizard is run the recording path (and who knows what else) gets reset to its default value.

I think a warning to this effect should be posted when the Setup Wizard is requested. And the the user should have the option of continuing or bailing out.
