Speeding up shares view (2 Viewers)

Just restructure your files and use the "Every movie has its own folder option"

I don't get what you mean by that. Or were you refering to fixing the date issue with library/scanned mode?

I think he's saying put each movie into its own folder inside my movies folder, i'd really rather not as its a hell of a lot of work for 500+movies and messy for people on the network that access my shares with windows explorer.

What is mediaportal doing when it opens the folder that causes the delay? the only delay the xbox has is caused by loading the thumbnails for each movie, if i delete the database and thumbnails it loads almost instantly... just like windows explorer.

Don't bother, I have my movies in their own folders and it still lags...
