SpinSafe a (Razor mod) (3 Viewers)

Hi,

First off... I just started using this skin and I thinks it's the best one I've seen. Well done and keep up the great work!!

I have one issue however, though I'm not sure if this was intended to happen or if it is a bug.

The process:

1. I go into MyTV and select RecordedTV from the menu, and highlight one of my recorded tv shows (just highlight it, NOT play/select)
2. Then if I go back into MyTV and select Scheduled programs, below the schedule list is the program description of the tv show that I just highlighted in RecordedTV.

Is this the intended action or a bug in the skin?

Also, to back up some of the things other people have said I did have some issues with elements not conforming to screen calibration. I needed to do some fairly major UI screen calibration to correct overscan on my TV. After doing things, several elements around the edges of the skin on different pages (e.g. Time/Date, Video Preview window, etc) were still being placed off-screen. They didn't seem to have adopted the new screen calibration settings. I have edited the xml files to fix most of these elements myself, but it might be worth looking at.

Anyway, as I said... GREAT SKIN. Keep up the good work.

I have not seen this before. its now fixed.

Im just using the english language ? if thats what you mean

Im pretty sure Im doing something wrong.

Im using the latest SVN of MP and the default skins works fine. In fact MP rocks . However your skin simply gives me a black screen when i start MP.

??

I get this error:

I dont know what this could be.
Yesterday when i experimented with difrent languages in mp i hade problem with the start of MP some times. The GFX did not start, and all i could see where my desktop with the taskbar removed. What i could understand this had something whit the wrong fonts where loaded. I had to rebuild the skin with the new language to make it load right fonts or something. I dont know if the reason for this lays in my skin or there where some bug in MP.
Just wanted to share.


Is there more people that have this problem ?

Great work so far!

in mytvfullscreen when I hit pause or fast F/R and then hit play it starts scrolling up through tv channels (nice feature for the lazy channels surfer but anoying. blue2 exibits the same behavior.

another possible bug

when I reboot and media portal auto starts I have no use of arrow keys in the home screen until I restart MP. Arrow keys do work in mytv. I have tested this with blue2 and it functions normally.

Yes. i think its the known bug i alredy fixed in the next version. You can read about it if you look back a cupple of post in this thread.
The mp losers focus when using the mouse in the menu. When you then tryes to use arrow keys on keyboad or remote it dont know where to start.
This happend after i added the ray of light animation in the home screen, when removing it this problem is gone.

You can download a edited myhome.xml file downbelow.
Just remove .txt in the name and copy it to the SpinSafe skin folder.

Hallo...

I have seen there are several people that have problems with overscan and thay say that the screen calibration settings does not work in this skin. So i have looked in to this a bit.

I use a LCD tv with no overscan what so ever, so this problem i have very hard to check.

I have tryed to see what happends when i change the values in the screen calibration.
Change the values on where the OSD is going to be placed does work with no problems here.
The overscan values does work when paying some media but not the skin GFX. I checked in bluetwo wide if the GFX moves with the values, and it did´t.
The UI calibration works with no problems here.

Can someone tell me how this is soposed to work and what my skin(s) does difrent from other skins.

The two people that have downloaded the edited homescreen so far. I just wanted to check if this soled you problem with remote/keyboard ?

I was a huge fan of the original 'Razor' skin, so I very much appreciate your efforts on this alternative.
