Yesterday i played around with C# and did my first tool for mediaportal.
You can find it here
I have for a long time been iritated over the low quality of the generated video cover images. So i desided too do something about it. And MP Movie Cover Resizer is the result.

Biger and better quality video covers has open the possibilitys for making much more nice looking video displays.
Today i have played around on a "tweak" of SpinSafe Revolve there i have not taken any notice about readablity from long distances, overscan and so on ( and will not ether ). I have just made it for my own desires and needs.
If anyone is intrested i could release it when i begining to get satisfied with it.

I start the plugin. Then I can crash it by simply selecting 'Select feed' in the top menu - MP dies.. That works for Newzbin as a source. If I put TVNZB and then 'Select feed' I get a window with three choices - select any and it crashes. If I try to do a search with Newzbin - the window pops up with two choices - 'search' and 'search by attribute' - selecting the latter does not display a window with available list of the attributes...

I use MP 0.2.3.0 RC2 from Sept. 7 with TVEngine 3..

Would love to get any additional info if you know where from.

I think those nicer looking video displays that you're referring to with those screenshots! Would be nice if you could release that sometime

I too had this irritation, and was almost about to do something about it until I noticed it is OK now. Everytime I scan a new movie it gets High Resolution

You might want to test a clean install and see if its OK for you before you further develop your tool.

As far as i know, the highest resolution that is automatic generated is 192 pixel high and about 130 pixels wide.
This is way to low for my taste, and is not enough when having very big thumbs.

Im pretty sure the ones Im seeing on my Bravia 46" 1080p a much better than that. It use to be a block fest, but now it looks crystal clear like the ones you posted above.

In my directory, I see two images for each movie e.g. Accepted.jpg and AcceptedL.jpg. The Accepted.jpg is the low res picture, but the AcceptedL.jpg is the Full Size Poster. When I use the List view or FilmStrip view in your skin I see the AcceptedL.jpg.

I am using this skin now, and was wondering why you go left when you press the "right" button on the MCE remote? It wasn't like this with the Core skin.
Can't seem to find an option to invert the Left and Right buttons either.

I gues you talking about the basic home screen?. When i created it i imagen it like a wheel, and if you turn a wheel you spin it in the oposit direction.
In the early days of SSR i had a version that turned the other way, but due to more advanced screen it was to hard to mantain 2 versions.

@All. In the last SVN build of mp, the problem with not be able to reach the last row in tumbnail view is solved.

correct, the filenames without the 'L' are the 192 resolution. I thought you were talking about the big poster view not looking good for you (it use to download the low res picture by default which was quite silly). The high res thumbs in Filmstrip view will make a big difference!

I wouldnt mind having a test version of your skin that has the massive thumbs in filmstrip view

Yeah, the basic screen.

Is there any way to invert this? My brain is getting a bit confused about this, and when I'm hosting a party people will get seriously confused and frustrated
