I used RC1 until a couple of days ago I finally upgraded to RC4. I was pretty happy with RC1, and PowerScheduler never failed to resume system when a scheduled recording was due.

Standy in RC4 seems to be work much more unreliably. Several times PC has not resumed at all (from S3 standby), and when I have manually resumed it screen has been blank, and after pushing any key in the keyboard it showed MP in "not responding state".

I have set MP to reinitialize after standby, and TVServer to reinitialize servers on resume. Screen blanking is not activated in MP configuration.

Unfortunately I don't have any logs to post at this time, as when I tried to reproduce this issue I failed. (I tried both activating standby using remote control and letting MP to standby after being idle). When this happens for the next time I will post the logs, but I would be happy to hear if someone else if encountering the same issue.

I may have seen this issue. However, I would need to see your logs to confirm this.
I run a patched version of MP here, which works fine for me. You have almost the same motherboard as me (I have M2NPV-VM), which apparently doesn't send the correct wake-up notifications.

When MP is frozen, run MediaPortal Logs Collector and post the logs here.

    Sure.

I tried to reproduce this situation, and I run into a state where screen was completely blank after PC resumed. However, when I pushed any key, display was restored and MediaPortal restarted.

Do you have any idea what causes that? I'd guess that something that is done - or has not been done - before going to standby is causing this issue.

I had this today. MP did not resume from S3 and missed two recordings.
When I got it to manually come out of S3 using the remote, it did but MP just locked up and I had to kill it.

    My logs attached

Try setting the TV-Service re-initialize setting to OFF

Again, it would be easier to tell with logs.

There are at least two cases where standby fails: in one of those MediaPortal crashes, and on the second one screen stays blank after resuming from the standby as long as I push any key (after which MP is successfully restarted).

How can I provide helpful logs of the latter case?

If you use the logs collector from your start menu and go to step 3, this will include any current and backed up logs, hopefully one will show what triggered your lockup\crash.

Can you tell us when these recordings were supposed to take place?
