for the Autotune empty tab.

I had same problem for xxxStar cards and solved it.
Look at the function GetTunerCapabilities() in DVBGraphSkyStar2

after that the test in WizardForm.cs to launch creategraph become useless.

-In the 'Edit properties of your TV card'-window theres a tab Autotune... but without any controls on it...

Exactly the same here.

Hi!

So I'm a total noob at compiling stuff, but I do own a TT-premium C2300 card and I totally love MediaPortal! It's a good thing draktheas that you're working on support for Technotrend premium cards!

I'm following this thread now for a couple of days, and I decided to compile the CVS-build. So I downloaded MS Visual C# express and Visual C++ express, downloaded the CVS and compiled the release for MP. So far, so good. In the \Mediaportal\xbmc\bin\Release folder, I found the PostBuild.bat file, and ran it. The TTPremiumSource.ax file registered without errors.

Now when I start the configuration executable and try to add my Capture card, MediaPortal first says 'No video device was found, you won't be able to configure a capture card'
and 'No Video capture card(s) were found, you won't be able to configure a capture card', then the setup crashes with the fault: 'Cannot access a disposed object. Object name: EditCaptureCardForm'.

What am I doing wrong? I really like to participate with this project by testing!

Well, in fact, you don't need to compile Media Portal by yourself. All you need to do is download the build you want from the daily builds section:

http://cvs.team-mediaportal.com/

I really advise you avoid compiling MP on your own if you're unsure of what you are doing... You will save yourself a lot of time! ;-)

I would second what liborc is suggesting. Not only for the reason of saving time trying to figure out the complicated process of compiling the most recent versions of everything needed, but also because what you pull directly from CVS may or may not be at all stable, run, or for that matter compile.

Thanks liborc and draktheas, that's a very good suggestion... You see, I sure am a noob at this point! Keep up the good work, draktheas! I'll try it when I'm back from work.

    Drak,

this is not meant to urge you, only... you have spoiled us with VERY frequent updates and now I have been checking back on this thread bi-daily to see no update. ;-)

Well, I hope above all your Dad's doing fine now.

If you get a second, please drop us a line on how matters are evolving on the TT Premium support side.

    Thanks again,

Sorry for the lack of updates. I have been taking some much needed rest from the project for the past week or so. The next phase of my development is going to require me to re-write MPSA and implement the interfaces for DVB that were added to DirectShow for XP Media Center Edition rollup 2.

This is a huge amount of work and will require not only re-writing MPSA, but much of the code inside Media Portal that deals with tuning as well. If you want an overview of why this is necessary for me to test TechnoTrend Premium support, continue reading below. As this is going to be a huge amount of work, I am going to take one more week off and spend some time with my family before I start this major update.

Reason I have to re-write MPSA to test TechnoTrend Premium support: There is a problem with MPSA that will not allow North American satellites to be scanned for channels properly. So without these changes, I can't even test my TechnoTrend Premium support as I am in North America. Up until last week I spent two weeks trying to 'fix' the current version of MPSA to work for North American satellites and after many different attempts and approaches I can't see an easy way to make it work.

Re-writing MPSA will be pretty straight forward as I already know all of the interfaces I have to support and they are fairly atomic and simple. There are just A LOT of them. Once I get started on this stuff I can give you a better estimate of how long it will be.

Thank you all for the support and waiting patiently for me to finish this. I know it can't be easy waiting. I also appologize for my gross underestimate of the amount of time this would take. I know I originally thought it would only take a month but there have been so many unexpected road blocks along the way. Once again, I want to let you all know I am still working on this and it will be done someday. Notice I have stopped saying 'soon'. :)
