It sounds like a bug.

Nope because

Simple solution. I reinstalled MP. Hopefully this doesnt happen anymore and if so i will post screenshot etc.

And I can guarantee as the first person has never posted back, it is some weird installation\config setting.

Rather than doing a total reinstall, try deleting the mediapotal.xml, found in the user files folder, you will have to setup config again, but any databases will remain, so doing this is pretty quick, do not tick\enable anything you are not 100% sure of.

OK not a bug but a behaviour that needs MP to be reinstalled. I do not want to play with words but for me it is annoying because it's the second time I have been experiencing the problem. The last time I was on win xp thought it was related to this but now I have the same issue on win 7. I will do as you said and prey it never happens again or wait for another Mp version if the problem happens again.

Just to help other people who could have the same problem, I figured out what causes that damn easter egg (with the basic home screen disabled) to be displayed over and over

I jave just reinstalled MP in 1.1 rc4 and same problem occured once again.
I installed MP-TVSeries-2.5.4.1080, moving-pictures-1.0.4-setup and Fidelity aside with MP 1.1 rc4.
What is disabled (or I that I disabled) :

- TV
- Burner
- Play Disc
- LAst.fm radio

When MP widgets is disabled I have the dancing guys screen and when I enable MP widgets all is fine.
