Scrolling through my tv series, I noticed an entry for something I have never downloaded. The entry is for “The Starry Night, The Starry Sea”, a Chinese item I believe, but when I click on it to see the episodes, there is only episode 30 and the content is from my movie collection - The Vanishing of Sidney Hall. If I search the tv series folder, no such entry exists. Searching further through the imported tv show index, I find several other entries:

Na terapiji (2009)
Na dobre i na zte (1999) a Polish Medical drama

So, I thought I should check the list of imported moves and Lo and behold, there is an entry for The Starry Night and the next entry is the item it grabbed as it’s content. I also found an entry for Na terapiji but the following entry was not what it “captured” as it’s content. The only other strange thing is the last entry in the list of watched movies:

???? (2000) with content from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

All details are filled with question marks and the entry for the Sidney Hall movie contains unplayable content.

All very strange to me - any thoughts?

I said the content of the entry for Sidney Hall was unplayable, it was with MP2 but ok with Plex and it is not the Sidney Hall movie and not one from my collection. The Starry Night entry play ok and is the Sidney Hall movie. Since there is no folder for Starry Night, where is it playing from??

Just to confirm i understood correctly.
A movie titled A (The Vanishing of Sidney Hall) is recognized as a TV Serie episode named B (The Starry Night, The Starry Sea S01E30). Correct?

If this is the issue, the first question i'm asking is if you have separate folders for series and movies. You should have a folder, let's call it c:\movies which should be imported in the media sources as c:\movies -> video, movies.
And a second folder like c:\series imported in the media sources video, series.

Check from your media sources that this is correct, first.
As far as i know, a file inside a media source containing movies should never be categorized as a tv serie episode.

Also be careful about setting up media sources for TV recordings. The recordings folder should be defined in the TV Configuration tool, not from the MP2 client GUI. MP2 will then create the appropriate share(s) based on the TV Configuration information.

MLH01: By “TV Series”, I don’t mean recording from live tv.

Alberto83: Your synopsis is correct and I have a NAS which has a folder mymedia which contains 3 sub folders: Movies, TVShows, Music.

    Perfect.
Is each subfolder imported with the correct classification? Like TVShows classified as "video,TV Series", and Movies as "Video, Movies"?

Ok i'm reading the logs and it seems some weird things are happening, besides nullreferenceexceptions on the MovieDbWrapper:

From what i read here, the same media item ID is assigned to different titles, but it never happened in my logs.

Are those movies are correctly shown in the library? Darkest Hour, the post, the shape of water, for example.
If they are, can you start all of them in the client and tell me if they're exactly those movies?

EDIT: Don't worry i'm also sure with logs published someone else will read them and provide much more informations than me.
