Hi Everyone, its been quite a while since our last release of StreamedMP and we are now ready to start considering this as a Release Candidate.

If you are interesting in helping test and provide feed back please join us on IRC (#streamedmp on freenode network). We will supply you with a download link to the latest build.

To satisfy testing you must be running the latest MediaPortal 1.1.0 RC1. It will be greatly appreciated if all issues found are logged into our issuetracker and/or discussed in IRC.

We will probably release to everyone in the community in 1-2 weeks depending on testing.

    :D

AW: StreamedMP 1.0 Release Candidate Testing

If the version "StreamedMP-0.9.935.0" is the RC1 than I found the link by myself and have to say: wow
It's absolutely amazing what you have done. I love the new menu editor and it's different basic home possibilities. It's a nice thing to have all interesting plugins right in your installer, that saves me alot of time.
The only disadvantage I see at the moment is a very long MP start time. I will test different configurations in the next days and look how it behaves.
Thank you for your great work :)

After first test I must say: Great!!!! Best skin !

The only issue I have is that I don't know where to save my Fanart pictures for the different folder. The old one 'animations' doesn't show the pictures randomly anymore.

First off, nice skin, i love it :D

But i have some problems on my HTPC. The installation went fine. After the first start of the editor a .net exception pops up (see error1.png). I ignored that, and the editor started normal. Then i restarted the editor and another .net exception poped up (see error2.png). Ignored that too :D and started MP and after a while i get a error message which says "Not enough memory". If i click Ok, MP continues loading but then it crashes :/

    Log and images are attached.

Btw: On my developer PC, i have absoluty no problems, and this PC is really messed up :D

    Chris,

Looks like two problems but may be linked - will look at the editor code from what I can see there may be a problem with the Default Background Image Code.

Did you manage to get the editor started at all?

The other problem seems to be font related, which seem a little odd.

So you are say you can install this fine on your dev system, skin and editor all work ok but your main system is the one giving the problems?

Yep, here on my PC it worked without any problems, but my HTPC has some problems, don't know why. I kept my HTPC really clean. The first error only occurs the first time. After the first restart and then every other restart, the second error occurs. I did a reinstall of the skin (deleted the "StreamedMP" folder first) and started the installer again and pressed "repair". Again installation went fine. Then i started the editor and the first error occured again. After the second restart of the editor only the second error appears. So same problem as before :(

The editor itself runs fine after i clicked continue on the .net expection. But found out a error (i think this is belonging to the 2 exceptions). On the "Default Background Images" tab. There is only the settings image. Plugins, music, pictures, tv, movies, weather and news are missing.

Another thing is that i can't click on "Animated" in the weather styles tab (the radiobutton is greyed out). Tought MP 1.1 with newest SVN is installed. This is on both PCs (Dev and HTPC).

Hi edsche, I would recommend you uninstall then install rather then manual 'Delete' and do a repair.

Also regarding your issue with MediaPortal not starting, this was an issue due to MovingPictures Beta #2. During Beta #2 you must of acquired new movies which downloaded new artwork as *.png files. MediaPortal trys to cache these png's and fails because they are too large.

Recommend you do above Uninstall then Install or 'Delete your Skin Cache' then run MovingPictures configuration (Point is, don't start mediaportal which generates the cache). MovingPictures configuration should begin a maintenance run which converts your png images to jpg which should allow you to generate a skin cache and use StreamedMP again.

I Might so a Post-Install check to determine if users have png files from older movingpics install and warn user what to do. I can see this happening for a lot of users.

I read about that, but totally missed that. Anyway MP starts now. Fixed it with this post. But the editor problems still exists.

About the greyed out animated weather radiobutton. Could it be that it has something to do that i'm using the newer beta of infoservice?
