Hello all,

I can't seem to find an up to date document/tutorial for setting up Media Portal to access TV Server on another PC.

Could someone post where it is please? Thanks.

Also, I would like to stream to Mac and a XBOX with XMBC on it. Is this possible?

Maybe I don't get you right, but using the TV server from another PC is one of the main features of MP. You have simply to install the MP client on the PC you want the remote access from and configure the adress of the server in the belonging field of the client's config.

But this is not related at all with streaming analog video.

Regarding xbox and xmbc: Search function gave me e.g. this link.

Thanks for the info.

I searched for "MP client" on the forums and on the main page with no direct hits. There is a "TVClient" though.

I tried installing Media Portal on another WinXP PC and told the install wizard that I would not be using it to watch TV, maybe this is the problem? I still see the My TV on the main menu in Media Portal with all the options. It just didn't install SQL Server.

I can't find a document that describes how to connect from one Media Portal PC to another with TV Server. If someone knows a link to this, PLEASE post! The TV Server wiki that the install end result html page refrences is empty.

Found a post saying that I should be asked in Media Portal the first time I click on MyTV to setup the connection, but that does'nt happen for me either.

I must be missing something obvious, but I'm at a loss.

The ultimate goal is to be able to stream my DVR's output to all the units in my home: Apple, WinXP, and XBOX. Is there a way to access Media Portal from all platforms?
