list of SQL errors :( Looks like you got a problem with your movie database.

Go to C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\database and move the movingpictures.db3 file to another folder, then retry. This will create a new database file, so every movie needs to be readded.

Yeah - I was kinda hoping to avoid that; I have around 300 films that need to be re-added - with a lot of Foriegn films that usually require a lot of manual entry cause they aren't always properly picked up. However, I can see the numerous SQL Errors you're talking about and a database rebuild might be my only option.

I'll take some time to do this today; that should fix everything. I'll have to start taking more frequent backups. Wasn't expecting database corruption.

I would suggest to use Windows Backup & Restore for that. You can make a daily backup of the C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal folder. That way you have a daily backup of the database & thumbs folder + all the plugin settings ;)
Don't forget to uncheck the 'Include a system image' option so you only make a backup of this specific directory.

I have the exact same problem.

    But I have 1774 films...

The actual database and thumb folders are not 'that' big though. At a collection of 4000 you can minimize your 'Thumbs' folder to under 3GB with a database folder of under 100MB. So total is less then 1GB per 1000 movies.

For piece of mine you should ensure you have at least 2GB free space to make a backup then.

As for re-import speed fresh, an online import should be roughly 5 seconds per movie (or faster) and highly depends on which scraper-system you use, how slow your internet connection is to obtain all the artwork and how large all the artworks are.

So if you have 3600 movies, then it can take indeed 5 hours, but for your collection that's at least half that time. You can also adjust your scraper-system options if you use a scraper such as IMDb+ to speed things up.

An off-line import however goes as quick as your harddisk can keep up, and you can generate those easy now with forum 3rd party tools such as MovPicNFO.
