Hi,
Long(ish) time user first time poster!! Just recently updated to V0.2 from V0.1.3 and I gotta say its a fantasic leap forward. Especially like the fact that much of the configuration is within the app now and also like the much improve channel change speed in my TV (almost as fast as the native app). Anyhoo onto the problems at hand...
These are new problems since updating to 0.2. Before I installed 0.2 I updated Windows, my video driver and my TV card driver. MP and TV card driver where uninstalled before re-installing them.
Problem is around timeshift and record. When viewing TV with timeshift on the picture and sound 'Stutter' i.e. it will pause momentarily then skip forward. On the odd occasion it does not skip but will speed up the picture trying to 'catch up' to where its supposed to be. This happens on all channels though some seem worse than others but might just be a fluke. Sometimes it will be OK but as soon as you flick over the channel it comes back. Other times I can fix it by changing the channel.
Also have a probelm with record which may be relted. Tried to record Connan the Barbarian ( or Grogan the unbearable as I like to call him ) the other night. Seemed to record OK but when playing back, about 10 minutes in, it skiped forward 1hr was OK for another 10 minutes then skipped forward to about 5 minutes before the end. I did not experiance these problems in 0.1.3.
In addition to the hardware mentioned above I am using NVIDIA raid level 0 (stripped) with 3 x 80GB SATA hard drives with over 110GB of free space. There is plenty of CPU capacity and the drive bandwidth seems to be OK as proved using 0.1.3. I am not running any Virus scanners and the box is used exclusivly for MP.
Can anyone give me a heads up. I have done a quick search through the Forum and the FAQ (which help solve the tearing problem I had) but have found nothing similar.
Cheers,
Danny
