Hi all,
I installed MP 1.2.1 and I noticed stuttering problem.

I check if someone have the same probelm and I found the miroslav patch. I read the thread about mirosalv patch and I noticed that I have the same problem. Infact when I use MP only to listen music or wath a film I haven't any problem, but when I try to use MP to watch a TV I have stuttering problem.
After the first installation of MP I haven't any problem, but after some several hours the stuttering problem appear. During this problem I notice too many read/write operatin on HD, and the Tv is freeze. After several minutes the read/write access was stop and the TV working correctly. After other minutes the freeze appear again.

After thant I close the MP and restart the PC and I can see that the PC not start because there is a corruption sector on HD, I guess about several read/write operation.
So after that I restore the PC with Acronis True Image, but I noticed that the time necessary to restore PC 1 day. So I restart the PC with GParted and I destroy the partion, after that I format a new partition with EXT4, and when this operation was finished I destroy the partition again. After that I restore the PC with Acronis True Image and now I restore the PC in 10 minutes.

About describe above I guess the too many read/write opeartion broken some sctors of HD.

Here you are a little description of my system:
Processor: Intel core DUO
Graphic board: NVIDIA
HD: WD green 1 TB
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate without Windows Media Center functionalities
MP: 1.2.1
TV Board: Hauppage WinTV HVR-1110
only DVB-T

Can yu help me?

ciao

Check your aerial and cables. If you only have an indoor aerial then it may not be good enough.

Also, make sure that your timeshift and recording folders are excluded from virus scans. MS Security Essentials and various other virus scanners have been known to cause problems that look similar.

    Hi mm,
first of all, many thanks for your reply and your patience to see my logs.

I have an condominium antenna, so I'm living in building togheter 20 famylies, and we have only one antenna. Do you think that it's a good idea install in my home an signal amplifier?

On my installation I haven't virus scanner and I disabled the MS firewall.

    ciao

    No problem. :)

Hmmm, okay. I would not install an amplifier immediately - I would first check a few other things... but after that if the problem still wasn't resolved then yes, I would get a cheap amplifier (one that you can return if it doesn't work).

On my installation I haven't virus scanner and I disabled the MS firewall.
Okay. Is there any other software that could be "stressing" the HDD?

The other thing I would do before getting the amplifier is check whether you have this same problem in other software.
