Re: SubCentral v1.0.0 - download & manage subtitles (Moving Pictures/MP-TVSeries/othe

    May I suggest this:
    1. Automatic download if filename match found on preffered language or couple of them - no user interaction when plugin run (lets say when playing series, no sub found, option to downlod pressed
    2. Some kind of watcher? Maybe link it trough info service - when a new tv series - movie is added, plugin searches providers for match and download subs if found - in background! - automatic subtitle downloading

    Hi,

Thanks for suggestions, these features are already on the roadmap and being planned.

Re: SubCentral v1.0.0 - download & manage subtitles (Moving Pictures/MP-TVSeries/othe

For some reason, it's not working.
When I try to open the Plugin configuration I get this error:
bayimg - image: subcentral.png - free uncensored image hosting
The settings open when I click continue, but then the plugin in Mediaportal doesn't work either.
When I try downloading a subtitle nothing happens. I select a subtitle and click ok, nothing happens, I click menu > Download, nothing happens either.
    Any ideas what causes this?
I thought at first it had something to do with the folder settings, but I tried a lot of different things and nothings seems to have made a difference, my normal folder path for subtitles is "\".
Tried reinstalling Mediaportal as well, didn't work either.

How about providing some logs since we don't have those crystal balls yet?

This is the contents of my SubCentral.log
Which led me to think it had something to do with the network share bug mentioned in the main post.
    I did add
    192.168.1.10 hda
    to my hosts file.
But that did not solve the issue.

There is a section in first post about how and why providing logs is a must. Please follow it and then you might get some help and bug (if any) can be fixed :) SubCentral.log is by far not enough in these isolated cases.

Just installed 1.0 (mepo 1.1.3), Everything seems to be working fine except the font size and color.

Its huge, and plain white (text, and the drop shadow). Is there any way to chance/ set default font and size colour?

Are you talking about subtitle size in video player? If yes, SubCentral has nothing to do with that. But, you can configure subtitle position, style and size in MediaPortal configuration or if you're using ffdshow subtitle engine, in ffdshow configuration.

Re: SubCentral v1.0.0 - download & manage subtitles (Moving Pictures/MP-TVSeries/othe

I have something strange. Everything works okay, I've set up the plugin so it goes back to the originating screen. So that, when I go from tv series to subcentral, it goes back to tv series after it says subtitle downloaded. Strange this is, that after going back, it says "subtitle downloaded" again, and it goes back another screen. Didn't have it on my 32 bit W7 htpc, now running 64 bit W7. Don't know if that's the cause, but it may be a bug.

Known bug, already on issue tracker, will be resolved in next version in few days :)

I think I will be able to solve this. Do you mind sending me your SubCentral.xml and MediaPortal.xml (configuration files) you used when the error appeared?

    Hi guys,

I have problems downloading subtitles from bierdopje, my favorite provider.

22-May-2011 19:22:27.378 Error [ SubCentralGUI]: Error while downloading subtitles
System.Net.WebException: An exception occurred during a WebClient request. ---> System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\The.Big.Bang.Theory.S04E23.HDTV.XviD-FQM.srt' is denied.

    at SubCentral.GUI.Retriever.DownloadSubtitleAsync(Object downloadDataObj)

it appears to (temporarily?) save the file in my mediaportal program dir. Downloading subs via subscene gives no problems (except for finding dutch subs) and stores the sub at the location of the video file.

any clues on what is going on?

An unrelated question: Subcentral under moving pictures is less accessible (via the sidemenu) then in mptv (via the submenu and download). Is that would be a question for the skin (streamedMP) or the moving pictures developers ?

    Thanks,
    Patrick

This is really strange. What temp folder you have set up in Windows environmental variables? Where is your video files located?

In MP Configuration there is a section for subtitle paths, what do you have there?

Again, please post ALL logs as instructed, we already have to ask this too many times.
