How can I switch off DVD subs when playing a movie? Every disc I play, MP automatically defaults to subtitles on. I would like it the other way around, so I have to switch them ON!

Yup but this seems to be a common problem to every MP-Newbie, two friends of mine had the problem. I think this should be disabled by default.

You can enable subtitle (even if they are disabled in configuration.exe) using the MCE or BlueTwo Video OSD (perhaps in other skins as well), but if you disable them from there and they were enabled in configuration.exe they will show up at every chapter change)

So the best configuration for that is "Disabled" in configuration.exe and enable them from the OSD when needed.

Have fun :D

I second that (and already did it a few times as I also already answered several questions concerning that "problem" ;) .

I've now ticked the box to "Use EVR for LiveTV", with a default display refresh rate of 50Hz. In combination with tweaking some of the Nvidia 3D settings for the MP executable only, I now have a...

Fixed, I think. Certainly the vintage MP2 installer that I was using no longer installs the LAV filters. I can only assume that these were never part of the install package itself, but rather downloaded during the install, and that link no longer exists. Shame that the installer doesn't indicate this. Last time when I installed the...

Hi. I was probably being a bit fast and loose with my terminology. I meant "somewhere within the files that MP2 uses in its database". Anyway, I found a way to do this which was far from automated but relatively low effort. I found what looked like all the images (CD covers, DVD covers, backgrounds etc all lumped together in...

@CyberSimian Sorry, I missed your last post. I ended up doing a clean install on the client and all is well now. It still doesn't let me go back in time when I change channels but it does continue operating from that point on. I'm ok with that. Thanks for your help! EDIT: I now downgraded the server (as I did with the client above)...
