i know mediainfo hasn't been implemented yet but when it will be i would like to suggest the following.

all my videos that are in hd i use the following template take the coverarts, edit in photoshop and add the following on top.

maybe if possible to use this as a template ( hard coded i mean ) and the plugin will auto add on top if a movie is hd?

cheers again for a great plugin

You should be able to do this once Issue 17 is completed.

For instance lets assume there is a skin property called #MovingPictures.SelectedMovie.Resolution, and it could have values of 720p or 1080p. (I do not know if those will be actual values, this is just for demonstration purposes) You could create an image element on your skin positioned on top of the cover, with the texture set as follows:

    <texture>overlay_#MovingPictures.SelectedMovie.Resolution.png</texture>

Then name your image "overlay_1080p.png". If another movie is 720p, and you do not have a file called overlay_720p.png, the image element would just be transparent for that movie.

    Hope this makes sense :)

Very good idea and I have been using one like that for a while. In fact I have a Red one for the HD films, a grey one for regular DVD and a Black one for DivX

It would be very nice if the idea was actually implemented into the main MP code so that the skinners could use a different box border for the different formats :)

    Regards

Dunno if it helps, but here are the images I use to overlay my covers. In hindsight I probably should have picked a better colour than pink for hdtv :p

that's a good idea. i'd like an easy way to tell which videos in the list are on my harddrive or on bluray, hd-dvd or dvd.
