as you know New Zealand has some sites that don't work properly, however our primary free to air dvb-t broadcast network "freeview" is now offering support for a product called freeviewplus via hardware stb and builtin to newer tvs. this appears to be an industry standard called hbbtv. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hybrid_Broadcast_Broadband_TV.

I have no idea how complex it would be to implement - or if there is some sort of built in security that would prevent a software implementation, but if it was possible it would enable a vast number of sources and would solve all the issues with the new zealand sites. :)

I'd be happy to help test or offer any assistance i can towards this goal - i dont currently have a suitable device but if i could obtain one i could try wiresharking to see if there is anything readable going on :)

There is. You can think of HbbTv as simply a link/redirect for STBs to access the same content that's available via TVNZ OnDemand, 3Now etc. Therefore if the problem was previously security (eg. Brightcove) then I expect the same problem would still be in full force now.

    Hey all,
Do you think it would be possible to add http://www.blinkbox.com?
I'm happy to help if someone could give me some guides about where to start reading from.

    Thanks

That's going to be a tricky one, seeing that you have to pay for the movies... And that it's restricted to the UK.

You can start by inspecting the http requests (with f.e. fiddler2) and see if you can find out how login works and if you can find the url of the movie being played.
Mind youi, don't know exactly what their policy is regarding paying for partial views, but it can prove to be expensive experimenting with the various http-request needed.

    Hi.

I would like to see http://www.crichd.co/ sports streams in Onlinevideos. I've used that site already in last year from browser for F1, and it seems to be quite stable, and not changing it's layout very often. It provides Sky Sport,Eurosport.ESPN,BT sport streams.

    I would really love this.
