I've checked and the videos are hosted by brightcove (as are some other canadian sites, which recently stopped working) and that one is quite a puzzle, but I'm working on it

    Got ztele working!

    And canalvie,canald, series+

Toutv was already working, so if you're having problems with that, let me know
cbc.ca was kinda working, there were just a lot of "fake" categories. fixed that too.
Although they might pop up here and there. Didn't find (yet) a correct way to filter those

Edit: so I think that were all the problematic canadian sites, or did I miss one?

First of all thanks for the wonderful plugin.

Can I request some Canadian channels from the CTV family (I'm pretty sure they are geo-locked)?

    CTV
    TSN (sports)
    CTV News
    Discovery
    Comedy Network
    Space
    Bravo
    BNN
    Fashion

I'm obviously willing to do some work. My main dev machine is Mac OS X and I don't have VirtualBox or VMWare on it (its from work). My HTPC is an SSD machine and I don't have the C# skills or space on the HTPC to install Visual Studio.

I looked at Doskabouter's excellent CBCUtil.js and that set the wheels in motion in my brain.

So, far for all of the above CTV family of channels, I'm able to get their categories using a URL to their AJAX script. So, the respective URLs are:

    CTV: http://watch.ctv.ca/AJAX/VideoLibraryWithFrame.aspxSpace
    TSN (sports): http://watch.tsn.ca/AJAX/VideoLibraryWithFrame.aspxSpace
    CTV News: http://watch.ctv.ca/news/AJAX/VideoLibraryWithFrame.aspxSpace
    Discovery: http://watch.discoverychannel.ca/AJAX/VideoLibraryWithFrame.aspxSpace
    Comedy Network: http://watch.thecomedynetwork.ca/AJAX/VideoLibraryWithFrame.aspxSpace
    Space: http://watch.spacecast.com/AJAX/VideoLibraryWithFrame.aspxSpace
    Bravo: http://watch.bravo.ca/AJAX/VideoLibraryWithFrame.aspxSpace
    BNN: http://watch.bnn.ca/AJAX/VideoLibraryWithFrame.aspxSpace
    Fashion: http://watch.fashiontelevision.com/AJAX/VideoLibraryWithFrame.aspxSpace

So, different domains with same URLs.

    This produces output like:
    ...
    Doskabouter, any help?

If you understand python, all of these networks can be reverse-engineered from XBMC's Canada on Demand Plugin and specifically the source.

That are a lot of sites... thought I was more or less finished with canadian stuff...
By the way, you are on the right track. Maybe you could even get closer (or better yet, find the final urls, and finish those sites yourself) with the help of the SiteParser.

    Good luck!

Play around with rtmpdump to find the right parameters to set for that live stream. The parameters then can be used with OnlineVideos.

    Thank you for the suggestion.
Using both rtmpdump and Wireshark I was able to determine the appropriate parameters:
    Code:
    rtmpdump.exe -W "http://www.alojado.com.do/video/cdn/player.swf?file=ALOJADO_CDN.flv&autostart=true&streamer=rtmp://173.192.224.104/live" -t "rtmp://173.192.224.104/live" -p "http://www.alojado.com.do/video/cdn/player.swf?file=ALOJADO_CDN.flv&autostart=true&streamer=rtmp://173.192.224.104/live" -a "live" -r "rtmp://173.192.224.104/live" -y "ALOJADO_CDN" -v

There's probably a shorter version but this one works...
But I'm not sure how to implement this into OnlineVideos. Here's a screenshot of my current implementation:
    cdn_onlinevideos.jpg

The thing is that when I select the channel I just created I get an empty screen. I guess that's because OnlineVideos is trying to get a list of streams but there's only one.
So the question is: What would be the proper way to implement such stream into OnlineVideos?

Can you try to: add a group and one channel to it, giving it any valid url?
