Problem seems that it can't find the hue_output file, could be caused by:

- Atmowin doesn't have the summary zone ticked in the config window.
- Invalid path to Atmowin in AtmoHue setup, it needs to point to your Atmowin installed folder which is normally:

C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Atmowin

if installed via Mediaportal Extension Manager that is.

- Incorrect Atmowin version, will add the docs to Github page including the download location but for now the Atmowin Hue mod can be downloaded below.


Checked the code and couldn't find anything wrong with the path selection so can you check if it's maybe any of the above causes
Once we get all the core stuf working properly I'll make an feature list for things already requested and start working on that and can do new features once that is finished.

is Atmowin absolutely necessary for testing? Just started your app on my working machine and it throws up an error (debug log is nearly empty though).

Atmowin is optional and only enabled when you click the "Start monitoring Atmowin" button, the error is caused by either the extra :80 behind the IP addres or it isn't reachable it.
Best to let it find it using the "Locate Hue Bridge" button as that fills in the correct IP address of your bridge if the IP text field is empty or removed the :80 text

Currently it expects that if the bridge IP field is filled that information is correct and that the bridge is reachable, needs better error handling later on.

the port is added by using "Locate Hue Bridge" and having the Windows 8.x box ticked.
Nevertheless the IP address (without port) itself is right but it's not working here. The error is suddenly not reported anymore but the color of the lights still isn't changing. Can't say what's wrong...

That's odd, could be connectivity issue but does it always work correctly if you control it via the Philips remote/app?
Didn't know it would add the additional port via the Windows 8 SSDP lookup method as port 80 is default afaik.

Atmowin is indeed needed for the live monitoring but for testing (rotate colors) and sending colors it works fine without it , Atmolight is optional but does have it does have its advantages as it hooks directly into Mediaportal to bring a better experience like less lag and more control options.
